Is b*son a top notch brand?

I see photos of some of their garments and while the designs look really cool, I don't know anything about their quality.

Would you place it on par with with filippa k and trovata? Slightly below band of outsiders?

I just got a waxed cotton charcoal peacoat that was originally 500 dollars. Have you seen any of their coats up front and do they feel and wear substantial?

Thanks

Nowhere near Filippa K...however, it is pretty decent quality stuff, not great; I suppose more appropriately, middle of the road as Who said.

EDIT: I can't speak for their higher end designs like that peacoat, but I can't imagine it's too different than the mock pullover I have...

Bson qualities are good for mid-end brands. Banana rep isn't in the conversation as their materials generally feel like ass. The bson fabrics, fits and quality is solid for the market it competes in.

I'd put some of their pieces on the same level as mid end brands like acne, ymc, apc, filippa k, BoO, and other stuff like that. It's a different aesthetic though and Bson has a lot of different types of products that use different fabrics so what it's worth varies greatly. I don't think it's as good as mid end brands like ndg (well, old ndg as i'm not sure what it's like now), w&h, and some others. And definitely does not feel as nice as american designer wear like tim hamilton, ervell, and geller that i've handled. I put it above quality, material wise mid end brands like trovata, corpus, and some others though.

Also, all of you guys need to get the fuck over this "will fall apart after a wash" bullshit. Do you guys wash your clothes with dynamite or something?

I'd say slightly above middle of the road but that awesome super thin fabric they use on the shirts I love will tear or stretch pretty easily.

I also have the infamous button-up-collar-hoodie and wore it pretty steady for a few months. The corners of the kangaroo pockets are starting to come unstiched and I need to get that fixed.

crap design and crap materials. Stuff stretches out too much and only fits on the hanger.

I think the quality of my B.Son mock button up hoody is really nice... but I've never handled a W+H sweatshirt or most of the other brands mentioned above so I have nothing to compare it to.

Fabrics are very nice, particularly the modal blend. Cuts are usually quite long and drapey, which is why they don't suit me. Construction seems good to my eye, though I have seen new pieces with loose stitching.

Solid, mid-range stuff, if you like the aesthetic.
