I have an opportunity to get some of this furniture very cheap in mint condition, but don't know much about it. I already got a leather Paulistano chair for $200 and a Noguchi table for $500 with extra glass, and now they just got some B&B Italia in. They are offering me a king bed for $500 and a sectional sofa for $1800.

They are claiming that the bed was $12,000 and that the couch was $22,000. I think the sofa is a Charles, which seems to be about half that? I've tried to find pricing and quality on the internet but all the places selling them won't list it. Anyone know anything about the overall quality? Will these pieces last me 20 years? I've seen the furniture in person and it's in very good condition. It came from the same home as the Paulistano and Noguchi table. Buying both of them would be a financial stretch for me right now, but I'm wondering if this is one of those rare opportunities where I should just go for it.

Sò più de eà che de qua.
If the stuff is authentic B&B and you like the design, etc. that is a very good deal. B&B is high quality and costly,
You will not find a well-designed, well-built bed and sofa for $500 and $1800. Just look at new furniture prices...I don't mean IKEA.

A friend has had a B&B leather sofa and chairs for years, at least 10-12 that I know of. 4 kids, 2 dogs that jump all over, and the furniture still looks great. They do have a cleaning lady, though...and the entire home is always impeccable.

I have a Charles sofa, bought in London, and it's good. So is the B & B dining table bought 12 years ago. I will not say the same, however, about their dining chairs, which were so badly made that the back supports just collapsed - all 8 of them - without any pressure or misuse. Their 'customer service' turned out to be rude, offhand and arrogant.

You ask, will my furniture last me 20 years? The answer is no, and it is certainly not guaranteed beyond half that period. Stylish, yes, but overpriced and unreliable.
