Avoiding too much bunching at the knee

How do I avoid a lot of bunchin at the knee and having a lot of extra material sticking off the front of my knee with a pair of jeans? Do I just have them shortened more? My new Acnes do this, and it's annoying. I wasn't sure how much they'd shrink, so I bought the 34 length, though I could have easily gone with a 32. However, when reading the GQ top ten list of jeans yesterday I noticed something: there was some definite stacking at the ankle, but not a lot of break at the knee. Did they just spend hours getting these guys ready for the shoot, or is there something I'm missing about lenth or fit that could help me?

all 3 of my pairs of RRL's have done this as well untill they've been washed then the material around the knee loosens up quite a bit and the jeans drape better

Good to know. Since I didn't plan to break them in a lot, I washed the Acnes last night, after only like two wears, so that I could then go to the tailor. However, I'll see what kind of difference this makes. Edit: I put them on this morning while they were still a tiny bit damp. They drape better, as the dampness keeps them a bit soft. I'm hoping by wearing them around till they dry they won't get super stiff again, and this is the way they'll stay.
