Yes. I prefer to not remove my phone every time i want to sit down.

The only way to avoid fades is to have a large rotation of jeans and to buy new ones when the old one fade. Fading is a characteristic of indigo dye so you're pretty fucked. Not putting your phone in your pockets seem awfully restrictive, buy like 3 pairs of 514 and replace as needed.

What is your job? I need more information to make a judgment call but it is a distinct possibility the answer is yes.

IT consultant. I have many different clients around the area, all with differing dress codes. I don't wear jeans to work unless I'm staying in the office all day.

I was telling someone the other day that its funny how in 20 years people will be buying vintage jeans and laughing at the silly iphone fades.

OMG, you are sooooo right! How did I not see it till now?! My entire wardrobe, nay, my entire life, has been dictated by the fact that I am a complete computer nerd!!

I created an account just to comment on this thread, because the amount of denim diva commenting has reached ridiculousness. To answer the question, just rotate where you keep things, take them out of your pockets when sitting at the office or at home, and when the fades do become overly noticeable buy some RIT dye and dye the jeans. There's plenty of how-to's on that on the interwebz. It's super easy and fine for Levi's. I wouldn't do it to a pair of $300 Raw Denim pants, but if you spent $300 on jeans you probably don't need me to tell you that...
