Hello All,
I thought I would share my experience in my first bespoke suit and hopefully help others avoid the troubles I have gone through.
Punjab House is a bespoke tailor out of Hong Kong (known as Apsley Tailors in UK), and they were in my city so I decided to check out their roadshow. I ended up ordering my first bespoke suit from them with the hopes that I would leave OTR suits behind for good. Initially I was concerned that the salesmen were doing all the measurements and not a true tailor but I ignored by first concerns.
4 weeks later I received my suit and the fit was horrible for a bespoke suit. (the suit was too tight, the jacket pulled in the centre, and formed a hump in the back). It looked nothing like a bespoke suit that is tailored for you should look. I was shocked that they could have messed up the measurements this much but I decided to contact them to see how this could be resolved. Once i reached out to the company, no one got back to me. I was left in the dark with no way to fix the suit. Punjab house is a complete amateur operation and I would recommend you save yourself the heartache and not do business with them. If there are any issues, they will not resolve it and the quality and craftsmenship is quite poor.
Some of you may have already known not to do business with a travelling bespoke tailor house, but I was a newbie, and I certainly learned my lesson. A true bespoke suit requires multiple fittings and with a tailor you can see immediately if there are any issues...not a tailor that's half way around the world and who has no customer service standards.
Punjab House is one tailor shop to avoid...IMO
