Those Vass are really the first Norweger in plain leather which I like. For no particular reason, I generally prefer scoth grain like Matt's.

Had this beauties waiting for me today ... and I love 'em. The fit just perfect, no ifs, no buts. The length, the width, everything is perfect.

I am very impressed with the workmanship in these pair of shoes. They are amongst my most comfortable shoes now! Mr. Kiss definitely deserves a lot of credit (and support) for his work.

The kind of look like the vass split-toes above, don't they? [IMG]

I like the lasted shoe trees too - and the calfskin is excellent quality:

it seems the colour appears on most monitors as brown.

it is steel blue, RAL 5011, size is EU 46

    ...and a little anecdote:

i showed them to a friend who is strictly into brown or black shoes. he liked them a lot. unfortunately, they have been to tight due to their sleekness. his loss, might be your gain [IMG]

Ok, I´m buying it. My granpa, died in 1975 also started a small shoe bussiness in Spain in the 40s and finished having 150 workers!

We had all the basement full of that wooden last, tons, wasted on the chiminee, shame!!! I have a couple of them!

Any recommendations for relatively inexpensive bootmakers in Budapest? Somewhere I can get all the necessary fitting work done in a 4-5 day trip.
