    Frtizl,

    1. is there a specific shoe style called a wiener like there is a budapester?

    2. I have looked in my Vass book and he seems to point to a particular style that is semi-brouge with a banana shaped last and a lower toe cap than the budapester.

    3. Also with metal taps on the heels.

    1. yes. Wiener = with medaillon, Alt-Wiener = without medaillon

    2. this is a perfect example.

    3. the taps are a personal preference. they make some sense on the cobblestone pavements and streets of Vienna [IMG]

Thanks fritzl. Keep an eye out for a pair that would fit me plese [IMG] We have mostly stones on the pavements here too. Maybe I should try metal heels sometime, probably would attract too much attention though.

The pebble ones are gorgeous, Mr Kiss uses some very nice looking pebble grain, the norweger that Matt has is great too.

Do you use a Wiener and Alt-Wiener for different occasions or is it just personal preference wich one you prefer?

I wore them to Suppenkuche, as you asked, but no foot pics. I'll take some next time I wear them.

That model looks sensational. Sadly, the Peter last is too small for my feet but perhaps I can capture some of the magic someday with the 6363. Or by going to Koronya. [IMG]

I assumed all the trad Vass lasts would fit roomy but these are snug. Not in a bad way, but it's very close fitting in the way similar to my one pair of Edward Greens. They'll require a short break in period.
