I don't want to get caught up in a deportation/ criminal offence raid.

That's a shame about the shrinkage. I suffer the same whenever I get out of a cold pool..

I go for 6cm cuffs and no break, and have done so for about 3-4 years now. It's not to everyone's taste, but I like it for now.

Received couple of colours (Natural, Black and Burgundy) in the Saphir Medaille D'Or Pate de Luxe today.

Order arrived from A Fine Pair of Shoes in 2 weeks. Also order the Corgi socks and some flat shoe laces.

For those of you still not converted, take it from someone who has polished his shoes for 30 years that this product is outstanding. I have several shoes from the Church's range from Herrings. Have never been entirely happy with the polish, they were always a bit 'flat' in their presentation. Friday night, at home chilling, I put the Saphir to work and all my shoes including some old C&Js, and Lobb's have come back to life and look fantastic. Any of you sitting on the fence regarding shoe shine, sit no longer, bite the bullet and spend the coin on a terrific product that does what you want it to do. The new flat laces also look good. Am heading back to FP of S for the Saphir Presentation box Im so impressed. Oh and Im not on the FP of S payrol and received no free endorsments!!! Shoe polishing is addictive....!!

    hey guys,

bit of a noob to polishing shoes. What are your routines and how often? Atm, i do :

    1. brush off dust and dirt.
    2. Apply saphir renovateur
    3. Allow renovateur to dry and brush off.
    4. Apply saphir cream polish.
    5. Dry, brush off and buff.

I do hate that cream polish leaves a dull/matte look. Is waxing recommended for the whole shoe or will just the toe-box do?

How often should renovateur and the cream polish be used? i've seen contradicting answers :S some even recommend renovateur once every 6 months
