use darker shoe cream/wax/polish and they will develop into nice shades. you can trust me on this.
Surprising (at least to me) when wandering around Milan a week or so ago (and indeed everywhere else in Italy so far) I've seen very few men wearing brown shoes with business dress, almost exclusively black. I had always been led to believe brown was more common in Italy than black, and that was my recollection from previous visits (not that I took that much notice). Perhaps this is a recent anglophile trend in Italian menswear.
Some colour for a grey day:
Hickey Freeman, Kent Wang, Hackett, E. Marinella, Ken Barrell, C&J
Milan is a much more "Northern" European city than, say, Rome or Naples. Also, it's probably one of the few places in Italy where people take their work relatively seriously.
yeah cheers, i was thinking about that while in bed.
any brands or recommendations of what polish to get?
pediwear gave me some wax polish with the shoe to protect but not so much darken.
actually now that i think of it i have some of that kiwi shoe polish you get from safeway somewhere in the garage. Or does no one on SF use this stuff because its cheap? lol
My Sanders brogues arrived just now, not bad as I ordered them on Sunday. Even the boy was impressed with them, 'wow look at the soles on them'. Well its a start.
Perfect casual shoe for this time of year in Canberra.

Sport coat; difficulty level: Guido.
what ever happend to GW here?
i wish i had enough disposable income to justify a camo blazer
I think most people get kind of sick of SF after being here for a while.
Indeed, an unlined cotton blazer could be kind of fun for casual outfits in summer.
I'm wearing the wombat tie today. It took a bit of practice on the knot because it's SERIOUSLY hefty but I love it now that I got there. Looks great against a white shirt.
Separate names with a comma.
