Guys just got an email that the members ties will ship tomorrow (Italy time) so going off past orders I will hopefully ave them by Friday. I'll send out the invoices once I know they have actually been shipped.
I'm going to run a competition also, will post more details later but basics of it will be put a pic up in the 2 weeks after you get the tie on my affiliate thread, and best WAYWT will win a free tie or scarf of their choice. Winner will be based on the general tie/shirt/coat combo but also overall fit and harmony and som decent natural light photos will work in your favour too.

Great to hear Jason. Out of interest, do you have any plans to start stocking OTC socks? I have recently discovered the joy of OTC, and as much as I would love to order some Pantherella from you, I don't think mid-calf will cut it.

Yes and no mate. Yes eventually but I have plenty of stock at present so it wont be for a good couple of months. I like the idea of them but they don't work for me in real life, the trousers always catch on my calves when wearing OTC. Partly a result of the socks and partly due to 10 years of competitive triathlon and cycling.

I suffer the same problem with OTC socks too, having to re-adjust the pants after standing up is super annoying. Mid-calf for life.

I saw a pretty ordinary suit Ina salvoes the other day marked at $90. Dreamin.

Try $140 for a Zegna suit from the 80's at the salvo's over the road from Bunnings Hawthorn, I was disgusted

I cant believe how much some places will try to sell things for these days.

Any more than 4$ for a second hand tie is a joke

CR might be close to going under in some form but if they had placed themselves in voluntary administration then there would have to be an official announcement to creditors and shareholders and regulators..
Nothing in the papers or on ASIC site.

Perhaps they plan on putting themselves in VA. I'm not 100% on the info as its through other people but ill let you know if i hear more

Thought I would post a relevant email I got from a friend yesterday for your general amusement. He lives in Hobart. Needless to say, I have given him a lot of advice:

Didn't see Routleys -- only thing that seemed to be open was Myer. Hopefully these links will work. So I am looking for formal (ish) work clothes, but preferable stuff that I can get away with wearing out to dinner etc ... which may just mean that I need to change my idea of what I wear out to dinner I guess.

I tried on a suit - dark grey and pin striped -- pretty sure it was this one:

http://shop.myer.com.au/shop/en/mye...its-s-335/1c431charcoal-encore-suit-940911500

What types of suits are in style at the moment? I have a straight black suit, but unless someone is getting married or dies, it doesn't come out very much. I'm hoping that if I get a suit I'll be able to wear the jackets a bit even without the pants ... or do I need a sports jacket for that?

Also need some smart casual / light formal pants - thinking something like these:

http://shop.myer.com.au/shop/Produc...=17727&parent_category_rn=18530&storeId=10251

Passable?

Shoes:

Could I get away with these with a dark gray pin strip suit? Or should I wear brown shoes with the gray suit?

Thoughts? Essentially I just want you to tell me what to buy.

Your friend has better taste than mine. He said he needed some interview wear advice so I took him around DJs on the weekends to show him what to look for and what to avoid when he goes to shopping. He liked just about everything I told him to avoid and dislike half the things I suggested.

Anyway, anyone heard of Endy Cott? They have a popup store inside 234 Collins selling similar stuff to all the other Italian imports: Sarti D'italia, Antichi Telai, Andrea Rossi, Bartalesi as well as Guy Laroche. They do not seem to stock Versace or Cantarelli like Azzaro though. Priced similar to the others: about $500 a suit, $59-150 for shirst and 150-190 for trousers. Apparently they have show room up Lt Collins? Might take the friend in to pick up an Antichi or Sarti.

For those of you who have gone down to Azzaro lately, have you guys seen any non-fugly old stock Antichi or Cantarellis in 36/46 left? The ones that they are getting rid of for $300.

Sounds like just about every email/conversation I've had with my mates/family asking for advice (except my brother).

Invoices will start to go out this arvo/night for the remainder of the ties. Saw a pic of one of the finished ones from Italy overnight too, they look awesome. Anyone want to give an honorary name to the wombat?

sorry if this has popped up before but has anyone tried herringbones MTO service?

i purchased a couple of shirts this morning and was surprised to find the process being limited to trying on an existing shirt, adjusting sleave and shirt length and choosing a fabric

i live in perth where options are limited so i still think it will be worthwhile - at least i can get a shirt in my size in a fabric i want
