Yeah mate I put a mini update a few pages back, but the thread moves pretty fast these days. They should land late next week all going well. When they are on the way though, I'll send everyone out invoices that will show the price minus your deposit so you can pay the remaining.

They come via DHL so usually only take about 3 days to get here.

And with that, the mountains are calling and I'm off, hopefully to return with a few fish.

I'm not actually sure. The shoes are on the Ama last but I think the trees are generic. They cost €30 from memory.

I think oxfords can be too formal with chinos/jeans, unless they're maybe tan brogues. But those I would only wear with trousers. For chinos/jeans I would prefer a chukka or similar.

    I say go for it.

I have some Loake strands which are practical the same as these and I wear them with jeans/chinos all the time. I think it looks great. Burgundy is a surprisingly versatile colour.

Yeah, very exxy! Swarovski paying 10K a metre on Bourke Street mall was a record third most expensive rents psm in the world behind Hong Kong and somewhere else.

What are everyones thoughts on stone coloured chino's?

I dont know if I like them. I almost always dislike them even when styled to the hilt

Stone colored chinos are classic. Nothing wrong with them. I actually prefer them to khaki on most occasions, especially when paired with blues on the lighter end of the spectrum than dark navy.

That said, the definition of "stone" seems to vary by brand and maker. I've seen stuff labeled "stone" that is more of a light, soft grey. And I've seen "stone" that is more of a washed-out taupe or tan. I strongly prefer the former, and I think the latter is often better replaced by khaki in almost any combination imaginable.

    Suit advice gents.

I'm getting married in dec and im struggling with getting my suit and the groomsmans suits under budget. Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch to PJohnson or any other top end makers so I was looking at getting suits down to about 400-500 each at the very most.

Should I just wait till July sales and hope to pick up some bargains? The other method I'm considering is suit supply? Any thoughts?

Ps- I know how to use the search button- just wanted the aus members current opinion!

Have a look at the upcoming david jones sales and go to Azzaro if your in melbourne

Herringbone have suits for 700 if you can stretch that far
