^^ I say don't pass judgement until you tried them on. They usually look better when you fill them with your foot. That and they can be very comfortable. They're casual shoes anyway so you wouldn't expect any sane person turning up to formal events in those. The leather they use is probably the type of leather used for gloves.

You have a point. I'm sure they look better when you wear them. I think they could hardly look worse but that's not saying much. FWIW, I think there are a lot(!) of casual shoes that look a lot better than those.

How can you even comment on the lapel width from those photos? I find that kind of proption impossible to judge without seeing a more overall veiw including the shoulders...

Take these, for example. They retail at USD710 and sell for USD497 - exactly what demographic are they aimed at? I would have thought Harrolds was not hip enough for the kids. Would their older customers really drop half a grand on a pair of these?

The thing is, there must be a market for them. These are nothing like relic'd guitars - at least I can understand the appeal of those things.

    good evening gents,

i have a pair of tassel loafers, which sadly, has lost one tassel.

apart from going to Men's Gallery or pulling one off my grandma's curtains, can anyone suggest where I can source a set?

shoes are Alan McAfee's, in tan.

    based in Sydney.

    cheers

    sliq

I'd start by emailing a manufacturer of tassel loafers. I think Allen Edmonds will be the most helpful.

    Edit: Or check eBay.

Actually waitinG on an email back from Italy at the moment, with the time difference I'll prob get a reply overnight. But I'm expecting he will say despatch next week, and they all come via DHL so only take a few days to arrive, but don't quote me on that until I hear back.

So once I know they are on the way I'll send out invoices to everyone, minus the deposit and will despatch them as paid.

    Ta
    Jason
