    They were these ones:

    http://industrie.com.au/p/mens|knits/2441/2441426

    $79.95

I have no idea how to see if a knit is good quality on first glance, so I can't say if they were any good. The stitching of the tag is somewhat visible through the back of the jumper which I didn't like, pretty minor complaint though.

How is the fit on the Lewin ones? I'm considering ordering one or two since they're only $72 shipped right now. Reasonably slim? I wear a size 40 suit, their size guide tells me I'd need an M. Any issues with them (piling/stretching)?

try imperial leather, original (red box). cheap, and smells classic indeed.

Does anybody know a good online source for watch straps, preferably Hirsch?

Personally I recommend Eau Sauvage by Dior a timeless classic, and Acqua Di Parma is another evocative fragrance which I use on a regular basis.

For work I have found Taylor of Old Bond Street, have a good range of fragrances you can sample them at Henry Buck.

A very subjective area of course, but I find Armani Code works well. My wife is an asthmatic, so she never lets me buy anything too unsubtle.

    Try these guys: http://www.fredawatchstraps.com/

I bought my last watch strap from them - a dark brown croc strap, which I'm very happy with. They include the tools you need to change the strap yourself, so that will save you a little if you don't already have them.

Actually Armani Code was the one I just finished. I like it but it's time for something new. Thanks for the suggestions all.

I'm currently using acqua di gio (because I want to smell like every other Asian) and bulgari aqua. Probably getting AdP Colonia Assoluta, Ferragamo F Black and Ferragamo Tuscan Soul next.

Comme de garçon Comme 2 is my favorite, but hard to get and expensive. We used to sell it at Robby Ingham and I get it from Mecca cosmetica now, goes for about $150 a pop though.

I'm almost out and am going to try the Comme white next. Otherwise I love the Burberry London for a nice winter fragrance.

speak to anders from www.gnomonwatches.com - pretty good range and good quality straps.

Check out the RIOS straps, better quality than Hirsch and they have free international postage on them at the moment. Got one for my Damasko (see below) in the dark brown buffalo, really nice.

acqua di gio I have been using for last 12+ years. It just so over powering and last the whole day and leave nice smell every where you pass. And when you take hot shower after the whole day the smell just comes back. i also use the acqua di gio after shave. Just keep in mind if you use a bit too much you will smell a bit acidic . The other one I use is polo blue. Nice smell but really light.

One thing you might try is to check the FS: Other forum for fragrance split threads and other fragrance deals. Some bargains do crop up there which would let you try something new without forking out too much.

Mr Porter founding members sale apparently starts shortly. Might be time to stock up on some Drakes and Charvet
