Speaking of suit supply- has anyone here in Aus tried any of their suits?

I know they prob wont get much love here but Id be interested in seeing how they go. Im trying to build a new wardrobe and unfortunately the likes of Herringbone and MJ Bale are prob a bit out of my price range (not to mention P Johnson!)

ive tried some on but never bought one. they look to be decent value if the fit works for you. if youre ever near a suit supply store, its worth taking a look. they do lots of contemporary stuff at reasonable prices.

I picked up a blue cotton suit for $499 from Herringbone outlet. I think you can find more reasonable prices there. MJ Bale outlet never has anything I want.

Yeah they are great value vs anything OTR here especially at the price point. There are 3 diff fits ... Buy one, if it doesnt fit , put it back in the box and there is a return to sender sticker ... Guys at work did it and the new size arrived within 3 days.

I picked up a suit at the Herrinbone outlet as well but its pretty hard to find the stuff i really want.

For example- I love the blue sharksin they currenty have but I cant afford $1200. Even when it gets to the outlet (im guessing 6 months time) or on sale it will prob only come down to $700.

I will prob try the suit supply out.

I've got a couple of jackets from suit supply. Quality is decent for price but nothing that has made me desperate to get more.

wishiwasricher: Go to David Jones suits department. It's hard to believe, but decent value can actually be had there.

    I'm seriously not shitting you.

    Look into D'Urban suits.

    Good call.

Damn SF, sale day 2 and no pocket squares left at all other than teal ones that clearly no-one (including me) knew what to do with.

I will have to inform her to beware of Gentlemen with good shoes and pocket squares, especially when she is eating.

I mentioned a while back discovering a twenty two year old bottle of Chivas Rega at the Mother in Laws, l all i can say is that it certainly tastes a lot smother than the average 12 year old whisky. And as I am the one who cooks in my household I prefer a well aired glass of Tasmanian Pinot Noir while cooking dinner.

I'm a strong believer in not cooking with any wine that you wouldn't drink. As such I find recipes that require a single glass of wine to be particularly pleasing.

Thanks blahman- will give it a look.

I normally hate going to DJ's as no sale assistants give me any credence at all. Hard to know as well when you are a novice, what is a good suit, and what is overpriced. Ill have a look at the D'urban and also hope that Herringbone have a sale. Maybe July...

For you or the dish? But then I guess once the wine is opened you would have to drink it over the course of the meal, wouldn't want it to go to waste

Now please excuse me I must go and tend to my spaghetti alla Norma, the sauce has been cooking for the past three hours, bellissimo! ( mind you the boy will complain 'where's the meat')

Got home and finally got to test the new meermins out.

Apologies for the poor quality photos- still have a while to go to mimic the shots i see around here. They fit very well and are very comfortable. I dont have any other pairs of shoes to compare the fit with unfortunately (1 pair of G&G but havent worn them yet!).

Wont be good for the bank balance as now i am looking for shirts/ties to start putting a full outfit together!
