Gents – need some inspiration on how to rock a navy pinstripe suit. I have spent far too long in the land of solids. FYI the cloth in question is this, which is actually much darker in most lights. In my mind, solid shirts are mandatory with this strip, what about tie and square options?

Anyone in Melbourne know if the RMW outlet in Spencer St sells discounted boots?

I think every now and then some of the boots go on sale for $250 while shoes go for $200. I don't think the Spencer Street store is an outlet though, since that place is no longer a DFO.

Thanks blah. Might take the long, lonely tram ride down there this week.

the whole place can't be too far from closing down - it'd be lucky to have 50% occupancy at the moment...

I did notice that stores seem to be getting vacated and with no new tenants. I think one of it is the large space left by the collapse of A&R bookshop, another is Marcs and Barkins Direct. The thing about Spencer Street store is that it's a bit out of the way from the rest of the retail areas, which was fine when it was still a DFO since it differentiated itself as an outlet center. Now it's just another regular shopping place too far out from the rest of the shops but not far out enough that customers have little choice but go there bricks and mortar for shopping. Make matters worse, it pretty much is located smack in the middle between central shopping area (Bourke, Swanston, Melb Central etc), Harbourtown and South Wharf.

^^ I'm interested in knowing how high the tenancy rate in the Docklands area apartments is. I have a friend who recently purchased an apartment there who could pretty much park anywhere he wanted to for the past 6months. Seems that people are starting to move in now though.

    but would anybody notice?

I heard a rumor last week that the white elephant Southern Star wheel is going to be abandoned shortly. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
