Difference between slim and not so slim is usually about 1 size. Taking in a pair of pants shouldn't be any trouble at all.

Who is paying for the suit, by the way.

He is paying for the suit, I'm paying for shirts ties etc.

The cut of the trousers is different between the slim fit and regular. The regular has a lot more material in the legs and around the ass/crutch/ back of legs, which I understand is difficult to alter.

I want them all to be comfortable and like what they're wearing... But if we can't find anything that suits then I may pull rank.

    Bow ties are easy.

    The secret?

Think: shoelace knot on your neck. :)

I've never been a fan of the everyone dressed the same wedding gear. Ive been to a couple of weddings lately where the bridesmaids wore the same colour but very different styled outfits and another where they all wore variations on tones and shades of the same colour, apricot. Looked a lot more sophisticated to me.

Let the blokes get their own preferred suit and if the shades of grey is slightly different it will look good. And most people wont even notice. And they'll be happy they have a suit that's wearable afterwards to work.

If there is that much difference in size (10 sizes?) between two blokes then they'll look different anyway and trying to look the same will only accentuate the differences. If they both wear the best fitting suit they can get, the even if not the same shades or even the same details, they will look good. People also look better in clothes they are comfortable in, not ones where they wish it was another style etc.

Or you could do what a good statistician would do and get rid of the two size outliers each side and only take the mid point bloke.

Sweet! Looking forward to it Gerry. I remember last year when we were discussing one of your earliest shell purchases.

I'm wearing shell today, too. It's so good.

I'd disagree* with blah re difference between slim and not slim cuts. I don't know anything about TML, but there is mostly a huge difference in the way slim and not slim is cut in waists, bum, thigh, knee, sleeves etc. Buggerising around tryin to make "normal" fit into slim would just make an expensive mess.

    * respectfully . Of course.

Endless.com continues to be a ridiculously good place to buy shoes/shoe trees online:

Ordered from Endless 3 May 2012 22:25, order shipped 4 May 2012 06:15, arrived in Melb CBD today 7 May 9:21am ($10 shipping - which considering the package weighed 11.65 pounds is just ridiculous)

    *edit*

Although I have felt a bit guilty about ordering from there since reading a piece on how a certain company ( *cough* Amazon) treats its warehouse employees.

I'll suggest this before bloody blahman does.

Why not ditch all the groomsmen. And get 3 of the iGentts from here to come along for the cerermony and photos and tell them to piss off before the booze and food gets turned on. I'm sure there's a few here who would do it for the chance to recieve a few professional photos of themselves dressed up. Of course getting 3 idiots from here to dress the same might be a big hassle. On the other hand if you look at some of the pictures they all dress the same everyday without knowing it.

You'd need to be careful though or you might end up with embroidered yellow wombats on their shirts, no socks in triple monk horses arse shoes, red pants and scarves wrapped around everything combined with pocket hankies in each pocket and a tissue to blow their nose.

Better still. Blahman and me actually do consulting on style. The two of us are a formidable team able to cater toa wide range of tastes. We could coordinate the whole wedding party. Naturally I'm a registered celebrant and would be conducting the service. At pinch, we would stand in for the groomsmen. We would require 90% of our fee upfront, airfares and accomadation supplied and a room booze and drugs rider. Blahman would require 3 japanese female pornstars in Hello Kitty short skirts to meet him on arraival and carry his bags and join him for relaxing drinks. In his private room later. For me I'll have 3 well dressed sophisticated Anglican private school graduates around 35 or so.... .. Aha scrap it , I'll have what blahmans having.

Please let us know as early as possible as we are in great demand.
