So some sob got my my jumper which I ordered at STP and have for the last couple of days been searching for something else. Looked at BB,ORVIS and other sites but have found these the question is which one? Basically I would be wearing it with corduroy trousers so going for a charcoal grey exhibit A http://www.aransweatermarket.com/gents-knitwear/roll-neck-tunic-sweater exhibit B (both would be very nice to be honest) http://www.aransweatermarket.com/ge...al-aran-wool-sweater-beige-with-natural-fleck

How often do you end up selling it for one dollar though? Or am I missing something? Got a few things I should put on eBay. Usually have a decent starting and Buy it Now price but wonder if I am not using the service well (for me as a seller and buyers, because to be honest I think I am selling goods at a pretty decent price...). Appreciate the advice.

never sold anything for a dollar. but to be honest, if i didnt think it was worth much, i would never try selling it to begin with, not worth the effort.

the idea is that everyone sees it for a dollar (or a low amount), and wants to watch it in the chance of scoring a bargain. if they bid on it, they form an emotional attachment to the item and the competitive side in them doesnt want to lose the auction for the sake of a few dollars.
also carefully consider the day and time you list your item for.

Interesting....I would worry they would go for nothing but I will give it a try. As to day and time, someone mentioned Sunday evening (presuming doing a 7 days auctions)...

I used to always list at 9pm on a Monday night, as I heard there was a spike in online shopping / ebaying around that time (people are depressed about being back at work and it only being Monday and want to treat themselves I suppose is one rationale). A friend and very experienced seller recently told me that she always lists on Sunday nights, and I trust her judgement -- but I think Monday night is fine too.

Grammar check has been around for a while... it's just that it's totally rubbish.
Spell check more about making sure your brand and item are spelt right so people don't miss your post and then some lucky bugger finds it and be able to buy it for $1.

Yes, it's Sunday/Monday night and Wednesday night that have the biggest spikes. I've read that it's because Monday is the being back at work blues, and I think Sunday must be anticipatory blues cured by retail therapy, and Wednesday is because there are a whole two more days left before the weekend.

    Hmm..

This past weekend, someone suggested I get one. I've got no idea of what would suit me though. What are you thinking of getting?
