I've been looking for a while for a plain navy jacket to fill a gaping hole in my wardrobe.

I found this one today at the Ken Barrel outlet. It's half-canvassed, dual vent, patch pockets, surgeon's cuffs, Super 100s wool. Not bad for $220.

Fit pics are attached. I'm thinking I can just about get away with no alterations, although there seems to be some excess material across the back that might need taking in. What do you all reckon?

I need a tuxedo shirt by the 18th of May.

I'm looking for something with three or four stud holes, french cuffs, marcella or pleated front (not fly front - gotta show off them studs). I'd like a wing collar but its not 100% necessary.

Needs to be a trim cut - even with a 16-16.5 neck. I don't want to spend a heap since it'll be a once a year wear, but at the same time it will hopefully last me for a while so I'd like something that's well made.

    Looking at these so far:

http://www.kentwang.com/shirts/tuxedo-shirt.html# (but I'd need XL/16.5 and I think it'd be too billowy everywhere else)

http://www.us.thomaspink.com/shirts/men/fcp-category/list#filters=STYLE!evening&productsPerPage=20 (nice but a bit out of my price range)

    Any other leads?

Have you looked at the Wang measurements already? They fit very slim.

^^ Seems like the epaulet shirts have really slim measurements across the chest shoulders, where as Wang has very slim measurement across the waist. Been cross checking measurements with my modern tailor and herringbone standard sizing, and for reference sake a size 15" collar shirt has 19" half waist for slim fit Herringbone and only 17.5" for Kent Wang. 15" collar shirts tend to cater for 36-38 chest on RTW. Epaulet shirts seem to go a 34" chest for 15" collar shirts.

Question: Troop London. Anyone have any experience with that brand? They seem to sell canvas/leather trim bags at a very affordable price.

I laughed so hard when I read this.

I'm sure he's a great guy - but this is spot on Jason!

Sartorially splendour on the ABC on a Monday night. Jonathan Holmes on Media Watch and then Stephen Mangan over on ABC2 in Dirk Gently both have their own unique and enjoyable style.

How bizarre, I just stumbled across Dirk Gently this afternoon, never knew the series existed, and then it gets mentioned on SF!
