And very juvenile and unprofessional looking imo. Makes normal job people look like IT types.
WAYWRN Day 2: (dug out my DSLR too.)
Pants don't show well, but are a dark blue/black pattern. Need to get the camera higher I think next time. Perspective is a bit off.
Nice joiji! What shoes are you wearing?
joiji, I really like what you've done there. I'd wear the scarf a little differently but that's just me.
By which he means he would he would have sold it (and anything else not screwed down) to buy more shoes (!).
How is the challenge going GN?
Nice 2nd effort joiji, yeah getting the camera a bit higher will work well but for that look I works. This was mine today
Today, grey skies means a grey suit. One of my slimmer suits and I definitely notice the extra 3kg I've put on in the last 2 months after being sick.
Suit: Herringbone Grey POW
Shirt: Cottonwork blue dobby
Tie: Henry Carter Neckwear Navy stripe un-lined 7 fold
Shoes: Loake 1880 Brown Blackfriars
Brave man wearing light coloured shoes today Gerry. I was going to post a photo tonight, but I got home looking like a drowned rat, so another time maybe.
The Pembrokes are rainy day shoes and I thought their chunkiness would go well with the heavier material of the suit
I wouldn't have worn any other light coloured shoes though - actually even my dark brown leather shoes can look splotchy with raindrops. At least we're finally getting some real autumn weather for a change so I got a chance to wear my duffle coat! I could do without the rain but the temperature was good.
dfkjhkdsfui to you!
Oh, don't be silly, PS, I always have nearly enough shoes
It's only the second day since I worked from home yesterday and I don't think bedroom slippers from Target actually count.
Be interested to understand the story of Strickland & Sons from those of you here on SF. I saw their 'crack in the wall' in Burke Street over Christmas and tried on a few trousers, very heavy winter wool and yes, rubbish ties. I then went out to their 'flagship' store in Chapel Street???, and didn't see a thing that I liked. Their jumpers were ok.
Anyone had any experience with their quality, tailoring, fabrics etc etc. Reason for asking is I was going to make another trip out to the 'flagship' store in a week or so to see what new season stock they had and the fact I hadn't heard of them before, only stumbled across them on the way back from American Tailors.
Got some free time so I made something up...
I was looking through the blog of one our forum members last night and saw this.
Very true and well written by someone who's got it together!
Thanks! Shoes are Herring Knightsbridge in Dark Brown. As you can see, they present quite a bit lighter than their picture from Herring - Here
Thanks . How so? It was just pretty flappy unrestrained, was all.
