It's close but not mine I'm afraid (or at least not to my knowledge). Btw, that one would look great with your new casual PJohnson suit.

Hey did you get a random PM from a member about the Grey H/Bone jacket that we both have? A guy PM'd me about it and I remembered you had one for sale so I told him to look you up. One of my favourite coats after I took the elbow patches off.

    Hey Jase

Am considering that sublime tie... just have to wait for payday first. :)

And no, have not got a PM, but it's still available if the guy wants it.

Cool, all good mate. Yeah the guy didn't tell me what size he is (dont think he was an aussie) but I pointed him towards the FS thread anyway.

If you give up on trying to fit in to it then I might be interested in having a look :)

Great to meet Lennier, appolyon, Gerry Nelson, California Dreamer, aKula and thebrownman for lunch yesterday, basically a real life version of the most friendly and helpful thread on Style Forum. It was quite funny how easy it was to spot the SF member as they came into the restaurant. Thanks again chaps.

Now, to await the invite to appolyon's Black Tie do (maybe a charity boxing match between fxh and Blahman [the sockless warrior]).

PS Credit to Lennier for turning up in the official Australian Members thread tie (burgundy knit) and thanks to aKula for the briefcase recommendation (though I am avoiding temptation until my visit to the UK in July).

Much as I'd like to take this credit - and I did consider my obligations as decree-er of the official tie - the knit I was wearing was actually brown, not the burgundy :)

Looks like a couple of self-promoting pretty boys using a charitable cause to attract readers to their blog.

not that i want to discourage their fundraising efforts, but the fit on this jacket is absolutely horrible. the fact that it is MTM is shameful and makes me question ever walking into a p johnson showroom.

for those of you who are new to here and looking for general advice, this is not how its done. i appreciate there is some sort of fashion forward look that embraces exaggerated slim and short jackets, but styleforum isnt the place for it. maybe in SW&D, but i never visit there as it is.

Could you elaborate a bit on the fit critique, for noobs like myself?

Mere semantics - in my eyes it was burgundy (as that is what I was expecting!).

Have any Aussies had a suit made up by the Thick as Thieves site? If so, is there any feedback?

    http://www.thickasthievesla.com/index.html

I'm going to take all the relevant measurements and place an order, will let you all know how it goes regardless.

^ I've used another online MTM with moderate success but not TaT. I really wasn't impressed with the fits posted in their thread. But good luck!
