On another note, are we on for lunch tomorrow? Hope everyone's keeping warm on this 14 degree Melbourne day!
Yes, still on for lunch tomorrow.
Still to decide on venue (the pressure!), Trevisio (http://www.treviso.com.au/Menu.html) or The Mitre (http://www.mitretavern.com.au/pub/index.htm)?
Am thinking Trevisio might be better as it looks like it might be a little easier to get a table and turn up casually. Also, if people wanted to confirm we could maybe to a group booking for ease and speed (http://www.treviso.com.au/Group_Lunches.html), though thought it might be nice if people could just up if they were able/could.
Anyone have any input or preference on this (thebrownman, you seem to have experience with both.).?
Those that showed interest - Pink Socks, Gerry Nelson, Jimbosaraus, thebrownman and lennier. Have I missed anyone or are other interested?
Quick confirmations if possible and will send final details either here or by PM at end of the day (once the feedback is in).
12.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday 11th April) at one of the above venues, Melbourne.
Looking forward to it.
Still a good chance I will be able to make it. I think Appolyon was on the interested list too if I recall. Having been to both I'd probably suggest Treviso as a better option, space and food wise. Upstairs steak house at the Mitre is great but their downstairs stuff is average and the seating potentially rather cramped for a group.
I've got to pass. Rolled my ankle at on the weekend so I'm limiting any unnecessary walking.
For future reference thick socks and boots provide nice compression for such an injury.
lol. Read the same article at lunchtime. Had to resist trying to find out how to buy 'Pope' socks.

Appolyon! Damn, thanks Lennier...Appolyon - my apologies, thought I had typed you in...not forgotten my shoe lace man I promise...
One vote for Treviso, with good reason....
Any more thoughts or interest?
