Welcome to this small oasis of relative sanity in the morass of inanity that is Internet men's clothes forums. At much as it saddens me I must admit that even here there are those that would lead you astray.

Hi Mate, I can see you have a point there. But think about it you are saving most of your money for years and say for example you have saved millions. And then you get hit by a car ..... You never know you could die the next day. Enjoy while you are alive. We only live twice !

Welcome. You will experience some honest views and recommendations from gurus all around the Country. Since joining I have sourced and bought new shirts, shoes, great Turkish sicks and heaps of beautiful ties...all from suppliers I never knew existed recommended by those on here who know what they talking about.

Currently contemplating and planning a P Johnson french navy unlined heavy cotton suit in a Roma cut and a dark navy velvet jacket in the style of a Tom Ford type single breast with peak lapels....is just another project and something Im looking forward to discussing with them next time they in BNE. P Johnsons - wasn't even aware of them prior to joining SF.

Picked up a 12 month old Esquire today at the dentist. Had a lift out in it for Clad Men, an online shop, similar to Mr Porter Im guessing. When you go to the site it says, "The site is permanently offline". Any heads up about what happened to this site?

Yes checked out last week, they have been advertising in the AFR for couple of weeks. Didn't see anything that excited me at all GN - what about you?. Was all pretty mediocre I thought. I like the Edwin Jeans but already have a few pairs so do not need any more.

It's pretty much just David Jones, albeit online. Slick website and photography, but the stock itself isn't noteworthy at all.

Yep, I just looked at the site and pretty much had the same thoughts as you. Edwin jeans were about the only thing that caught my eye. Still, I'm happy with my Uniqlo selvedge and Lee Rider jeans for now. Not sure I need another pair of jeans at this point.

Took delivery of my newest suit. Absolutely love the fabric. It's a 4 season wool. Any thoughts?

Crappy iPhone pics. I'm thinking the pants are a little too long?

True ?? Surprising. The material / catalogue in the Esquire mags was pretty good. I tore it out, took it home and was keen to see what else they had. Just goes to show, not all online retail models are guaranteed winners. And this one looked pretty slick and seemed to have the backing of Esquire.

The trousers are perfect, don't shorten them otherwise they'll look ok standing there but once you start walking around you'll realize they are too short.

Something up with the shoulders though, looks like they are a smudge too wide.

+1. But seems from the brands its more half way between Myer and DJs, which isn't great news at all. The only brands I'd probably have a look at are MJ Bale and Herringbone.
