    Hey All,

After an anxious wait (hoping I measured it correctly) I received my first CottonWorks shirt. Overall i'm fairly happy. Although should have listened to Prof. b bear advice and got the softer collar.

    (apologies for the crappy pic)

I measured it from an existing shirt I had.

    cheers

Damn... Oh well check them out. They're a small tie shop in Florence that sell a few other places around Europe, mainly tiny concessions in hotels. I can't find them anywhere for sale online. They retail for around Eur 30 which is amazing for the quality.

    I'll check your ties out.

does anyone happen to know where in Fiji these are made? I am staying in Nadi.
I am headingA there Thursday for a holiday. Yes, a holiday. And thanks for your concern but no, i don't want to hear about the cyclone, my work reminds me enough. Plus, i am surfing and cyclone = better conditions.

Ps The pop-up MBlanc store in Bris has a private sale on ATM, lots for 40% off.

    Window pane.

Re white shirts that have yellowed. Just soak overnight or 24hours in a bucket of Napisan. In general soaking is the solution (small word play) for most dirt on most materials. Sometimes yellowing is due to the soap powder you use. Sometimes not rinsing properly and sometimes it's mysterious. Even soaking for half an hour before washing will help.

Don't throw the shirts in the dryer, will you?

A cyclone will just blow fiji out, you really want swells below NZ for Fiji, atleast for normal places (coral coast, places off nadi (read cloudbreak e.t. al))...

I did the 14.3K last year and Tough Mudder this year.

If anyone is thinking of doing TM next year do it at 8 am.

Good weekend though, and the reason i couldn't make the Thursday night catch up.

    Was there any pics?

Thanks fxh, appreciate you taking the time drop me a line here on such a lame matter as washing #$%^# white shirts. Am very particular about my shirts, must be the Virgo thing!! Anyway, thanks again, will head out at lunch for napisan.

Another good method which I do on all of my shirts is spraying the collar with preen before washing and I spray the underarms with white vinegar, which stops any yellow sweat stains. Works a treat. For really bad stains I'll soak them like FXH says.

Oh and I mentioned I was going to post my royal blue shirt yesterday, as it turns out I had forgotten it was donated to charity after getting too small for me. A sure sign that I have too many shirts i'd say.....

    Anyway, cross post from WAYWRN
