1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Gents. Is there an exception to not buying anything during ban period when Oxford is waving $25 voucher in front of you and you are looking at something that's currently priced at $33?

Why would you buy anything from Oxford?

Normally I wouldn't. Just every 6 months or so they send over a $25 voucher and I pick a beater piece to wear for <$10. Oxford Luxury range shirts aren't too bad to be honest. Currently their Luxury shirts use Canclini shirting and have MOP buttons.

I think sub $10 purchases can be considered rounding errors and ignored.

I managed to get two belts that were on sale at $12.50 each ($50 - 75% I assume) for $0 with one of those vouchers once. Pretty shitful belts, but the price was right.

    You got the carminas? Damn....

Out of interest- were you sitting waiting at the computer near the end? I havent used ebay much so im a rookie. I thought i had them until 3 seconds to go when two people outbid me. Before i could re-adjust the auction was over :(

Sign up for free and they send you a code now via sms (used to be a gift card) to the value of $25 twice a year.

After this 6 month ban period is over I think I'm not going to bother with much banning any more. Seems completely fruitless endeavour to save. When I stopped using money on clothing, I end up purchasing - here's a list: A new laptop, additional computer parts, video games, booze and a bloody car.

No, auction sniper software. Forgot about them until I checked my emails at 8 o'clock and saw the confirmation that I'd won.

Thanks.... Its a pity. I thought i had nabbed a pair of carminas to go with my G&G's in the same day.

I think I will buy a pair from the armoury in the next few months anyway. Ill have to look into this sniper software though. I guess you still put in your maximum bid though?

I think I might have fallen for the Edward Green Shannon.

Correct - you put in the maximum bid that you are willing to offer and Gixen (or whatever auction sniper you are using) then waits until the very end of the auction to place your bid. You can fiddle around with settings to adjust the timing of your bid if you wish.

A beautiful boot, but I think that it is only offered as a made-to-order option by Edward Green at present and costs somewhere north of $1200.

For somewhat cheaper options, you could have a look at Carmina (albeit on the more rounded, Forest last), Rider Boot Co., or C&J's balmoral boot on the 337 last, which has a pleasant, soft-chisel shape. The latter is available through C&J Paris and through Foster & Co in London (and Foster's sells online - see here and here).

    Thank you kindly, sir!

Beautiful! I've heard that Edward Green lasts are more suited to a narrower foot. Have you had any experience with them?

This lot is also pretty damned droolworthy!
