Look ok. I'd check on if those sizes are USA or UK. Makes a difference.

Price seems about what you'd expect. Because of weight postage is a killer on shoe trees.

The main function of shoes trees is to maintain shape of shoe. Cedar smells nice but any material will do the job. There's lots of Old Husbands mythology about absorbing sweat and moisture and shoe trees. Take it with a large grain of salt.*

    * although be careful to wipe salt off with a cotton rag later.

Yeah, don't get salt on your shoes, personal experience. Unless you like that the patina that bleached leather brings to a shoe.

Which are the Boxing Day sales in Melbourne worth going to? I'm especially interested in suits and shoes but any tips would be welcome.

Azzaro sale looks good this year, and the Buck's sale could be worth a look.

Health check is taking forever actually. Slow doctors and waiting for appointments. The police check I of course solved with a case of brandy to right recipient. ;)

And it's looking to be late February if immigration will work with me. I don't think I can sway them with a nice tie or whatever.

I'd probably check out Herringbone and MJ Bale if they have shops there. I know I'll be checking those places out when I head up to Sydney for Boxing Day (any other places I should check out?)

Merry Christmas blokes. I hope you all have great days and you get all the things you wished for. Unfortunately my only sartorial related present for myself (dc Lewis captoes) didn't show up and is still in customs, but I have a feeling I'll be getting lots of fishing and food related presents anyway which will keep me more than happy!

    Cheerio

Ho Ho Ho Merry Xmas one and all.

May your day be filled with good food, sartorial gifts, great company & excellent Geelong Pinot Noir's

Mrs Santa was very generous with her plastic and got me some great sartorial books on the history of Savile Row and some excellent blue note jazz to listen too while reading them.

Remember eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow you diet.:D

ps Jason do you go fishing locally? Or are you a beach fisherman?

Yes, merry Christmas to you all. Mine's (a pair of pebble grain derby brogues and a pair of semi-brogues) stuck in customs as well but next week should be a good one :)

I do fish locally quite a bit for convenience and down the coast whenever I can get down there because I love the beach. But I find myself becoming more and more of a trout fisherman, especially being so close to the mountains as we are. I'll have 2 nights in batlow for new years and then we will go to jindabyne for 3 days so that should see me get on to a few.

I'm learning to fly fish at the moment too, which is a whole other (difficult) world!

    hi guys,

just wondering if anyone has visited the herringbone store, particularly perth store and found any suits on sale? looking for $500-$600 mark for a plain grey/light grey suit. also do they do free alterations on the suits that you buy?

also, how slim are their slim fit shirts? thinking of ordering more kent wang, but at $100 on sale, they are cheaper :)
