Can anyone recommend some mid-grey lightweight, slim fitting trousers with a lowish rise for a reasonable price for summer? I've been thinking howard yont but I would like to stay around the $100 mark if possible. Or am I dreaming?

Combining two suggestions for blahman, head to Azzaro on Boxing Day. Big sale on. Antichi Telai suits for $400. Might be able to find something there.

Probably dreaming but you might get something that fits that bill at country road in the sales, I've had a pair in the past and they were really not that bad.

I am looking for a pair too . Its nearly impossible to find quality w28 pants in Sydney. Most good brands pants starts at w30 . Roger David has been my only option for dress/work pants. Anyway walked in to west-field Sydney AX store today . They are having 40% off sale. There are few grey textured cotton pants at $107 down from $179. They did have a size 28 but didnt end up getting it. Quality was rubbish.
Any advise on some quality slim fitting pants(w28 size) around Sydney for under $150 ??
    cheers!

Why does it seem like a fair amount of people here have an aversion to buying things online?

Lads i found this site a few months ago and had no idea who Joseph Anthony Bespoke was/is, i decided to sign up to their Joseph Anthony Bespoke Club 169 deal cos it seemed good value. I recieved my first suit and shirts on Saturday.Everything that i have read is spot on, Joseph Joseph Anthony is crazy, like no man i have ever met before, but his passion for clothing is like nothing i have met before and my experience was amusing to say the least (the shop was full chock a block full of customers and Joseph Anthony was holding court with people who were drinking red wine at 11.00am in the morning, he was using colourful language and directing his staff from a couch). However, my items are really amazing, and to be honest with you i have been saving up this post to bag becuase i did not think they would exceed my expectations and i did not know whether Joseph was a cock or eccentric. In short thanks guys for directing me to Joseph Anthony and could not be happier with the result. I am saying under my breath, i cant believe i am saying this, becuase i really wanted to hate him, but i actually rate him and his clothing. Cheers Bill

My new glasses that I picked up to replace the Roger Henleys that I lost a few weeks back.

Needless to say, I found the missing Henleys the morning that I went to collect these.

He's just eccentric. The guy you're talking about is Anthony Riordan. Actually a nice guy to talk to. But it's not bespoke, it's MTO. And I've heard a fair few negative reports about a few things. But he's been fine to me so far. It is what it is. I'm still waiting for mine. Lovely french blue number, we'll see how it comes out. The shirts are nice, but there's some fairly sloppy work which shows up rather badly with the herringbone fabrics I chose for the first few.

In the meantime, the lovely folks at F.T.Russell are popping into the office for my second fitting today. The first shirt I got from them is just stunning, to say the least. I told Fiona I'd get some shots of the shirts and the suiting and stick them up on here at some point. She has a very unique business model and is one of the nicest people I've met in a long time. The shirting is reminiscent of Brioni/Kiton-type quality. The suiting, well, we'll see today how it's coming along. But it's a very different level of quality and service to Joseph Anthony.

I bought this jacket from Herringbone, which I am pretty happy with for the price. (Cotton, unlined, unstructured)

I had to size up since it's quite trim.

No aversion here. That's mainly where I've been looking. I was just after some advise on some decent quality mid grey, wool pants for summer. As I said the howard yont pants are leading at the moment but I would like to find something cheaper if possible.

    Hi Philip,
I am one of those guys spend longtime looking on clothes on the net. Try to find some reviews and compare prices and then go buy at a store. Stores do charge more in Sydney for obvious reasons. Few reasons I don't buy from the net - You can't feel the fabric, you can't try them on (some cloths look good on their own but may not look good on you) and last but not least once I part with my cash I want my goods(this is the most important part for me!). Waiting is for goods to arrive is a pain !
