I had a few little teaser photos (not high res unfortunately) come in from Italy last night. This ones a navy grenadine base with cream stripe, 3.25 inches wide. I'll be doing an exclusive discount for the aussie members when I get all of my stock in a few weeks time on the classifieds.

Thank you for the advice MickyD, Brownman and Journeyman. Like the look and reviews of the Canon S100 or even the S95.

Fujifilm looks nice but might be a little more that I am looking to spend at this stage. Was also recommended the Canon G12 which looks great, especially as it had a lot of functions but also good auto facilities, but might lack a bit of portability (would I really use it?). Have played around with a friend's a few months ago but not when in frame of mind of getting new camera.

Will test some out this weekend.

PS Charlie's Wardrobe - am watching with interest. Good luck.

Great stuff. Any other teasers as to what styles your first stock will be?

I have a G10, and it doesn't get used anymore. The images from the S95 are as good if not better, and the convenience factor of being able to put it in a jeans pocket cannot be underestimated. The camera you have with you in your pocket takes much better photos than the camera you left at home because you couldn't be bother carrying it......

Where do you enter the code, brownman?

I progressed through to the page where you enter your CCard details, but did not see any cell for entering said code.

This is true...just the lurk of the fancier G12 and the recommendation from someone who should know (photographer and manager of photo studio) stoked my interest. Think something portable is more sensible though...Will have a play this weekend. Is there much difference between S100 and S95 (S95 obviously cheaper)?

S100 superseded the S95. I think the main difference it the S100 having geotagging built in (if that floats your boat...), and 1080p video. From memory I paid about $420 for my S95

G series has a flash hot shoe, but the ergonomics leave something to be desired..... :)

Charlie - the cream and navy looks the part. Looking forward to seeing the full range!

Thanks Everyone. I have 1 more photo of a burgundy dot which I'll post up on the weekend. Once the stock comes in i'll be getting professional photo's taken for the website and classifieds so will keep everyone updated on that as it happens, along with discounts etc which I'm still working out.

    Cheers
    Jason

Appreciate the advice and details MickyD.

Anyone heading to thinking of heading to this? Cannot attend due to Work Christmas Do but the previous shoe shine night was enjoyable and informative.

I was definitely going to be there...then my work christmas party got shifted back a week so I won't be going. It's a shame, the first night was good fun.

Hey does anyone have any experience with Tommy Hilfiger for beater sport coats? They seem to be pretty cheap online; I was thinking about checking out sizes at their Melbourne Central shop and then potentially ordering one...
