^ don't think it's possible I'm afraid to say
by the way, spotted a potential SF'er earlier this afternoon. Slim asian gentleman, blue SC with patch pockets, which looked very PJohnson'ish, brown pants I think, and some very very nice brown shoes with I think some light brogueing on the front - walking up Elizabeth St between Little Collins & Bourke
I just got back from vacation in Singapore. Managed to visit Gshen's new business "Vanda fine clothing". Had a look at his winter collection handrolled ties and pocket squares and purchased a few of them.
Will post em once I managed to unpack.
I also wanted to mention I stopped by American tailors & got myself a G&G St.James in 9.5E at AUD$795 while transiting in Melbourne to Sydney They had just reduced the prices of all G&G footwear to clear. I think they had the St. James, Another loafer and a derby. The St James had an 8.5 and a 9E remaining. Not too sure on the other two design, I was in a rush to get back to the airport, so I didn't have much time to try on the other two. Sorry folks, best to give em a call to check out on the other stocks.
It's definitely possible. Whether it does justice to the original design and construction of the jacket is another story...
If you haven't already, swing past CD's various FS threads where he's purging his wardrobe in exchange for Movember donations. Absolutely first class stuff from a first class bloke. Thanks again for the ties, CD.
Pics or it didn't happen
Usually that applies to women, but I guess the rules are a little different on SF
(Wing)Tips or GTFO.
This forum is so Melbourne-centric I thought yous would like this article:
PG here it is
Why bother? Don't let SF group think screw with your head. Peak lapel is just as appropriate for whatever occasion you think you need notch lapels for.
I agree with blahman on this one. Although, I have read elsewhere on SF that it is possible to alter a peak lapel to a notch lapel. But, if it gets ruined, you're screwed. It'll become a noticeable defect on what would otherwise have been a very nice jacket, and so it's really not worth the risk, in my opinion.
I love the peak lapel!!!
Is there any chance that C&J Hallam will ever go on sale for under $300? Man I hate budget constraints.
