California Dreamer, how's the moustache coming along by the way? It's fantastic what you're doing to raise the money :)

A few years back I grew this monstrosity: mobro.co/thebrownman - I'm an unnecessarily hirsute fella so that's actually 30 days worth of growth. Since then, I opt for rather tame moustaches, but something that hideous is a great money raiser..

    Gents, a bit of help.

Anyone know where i can find Shoe Cream Polish? I've looked everywhere and all I can find are wax polishes, i can't even see the most basic kiwi shoe cream. It's like Australia has an embargo on them.

Any recommendations or alternatives would be appreciated. Otherwise I'll just have to order over the net.

    I'm in Sydney btw.

Waproo cream is a popular choice, I have a tin for my R.M's. It's an Australian company so it should be common enough, I usually see it at the cobbler's shops I walk past, although I live in Brisbane.

I buy my glasses from ZenniOptical.com ... decent quality, reasonably fast delivery and stupid cheap (I have prescription glasses that set me back a whopping $12 a pair).

If you're not hung up on designer brand name glasses, Zenni is hard to beat.

They do have some horrors, but it's quite possible to select something sedate and SFW.

If you grew that one, you have me thoroughly beaten. On the weekend my wife reckoned my son's moustache looked better than mine, and he isn't even trying to grow one.

I'll put my mo in my avatar if you will. :)

For sunnies, I have two pairs of Persols I wear regularly because they are polarised and a bunch old ones. I have just ordered a pair of Americal Opticals which will be my first non-Persol pair since I wore vuarnets and bolles in the 80s - so a big step for me.

Actually that's not quite true as I have pair or Rudy Projects for cycling.

For eyeglasses I wear Persol and Orgreen.

I wear were prescription glasses and there are a few brands,Prodesign, Conquisitdor, Anglo-American, LA Eyeworks that I have stuck with over the years, my sunglasses are Ray Ban frames and are about to be retired. At the high end of the market I have don't see much difference in the actual quality of frames these days.

Looks like H-bone have started an eBay sotre. From a quick look the prices are standard retail - so not a clearance place - but maybe useful for those who are not located close to a storefront.

The best place to get a good slip is on 2nd floor of Melbourne Central near Oxford. Stone tile plus a decent slope gets me almost every time - I seem to always land on the slope with the leather part of my heel.

Speaking of Topy, The fellas on Collins street under the Suncorp (is it still Suncorp?) building have up their prices to $40 now and changed to using Ausy. Doesn't seem too much different on first touch - hope they hold up just as well.
