I guess that's a reflection of our inflated retail prices. $25 might look cheap compared to what DJs asks.

Most I've ever paid for antique links in an op shop was $20, and that was for 18K gold. I've often found .925 silver links for less than $10. So you're right to pass on the TPs.

Interesting article on Napoli, and a little one on The Armoury.

A guy I know from another forum works at the Geneva Richard Mille boutique, and was given one of the watches by RM himself for christmas last year.... decent fringe benefit :)

Got an email this morning saying that Asos Australia has launched. Not much has new except there's now free local returns, which is obviously a great thing.

    Nope

I swung by Foot Scary this morning on my way to somewhere else and they are gorn. I did pick up 4 very noice thick silk ties tho.

If I see some skinny Thornbury hipster, in oversized buddy holly glasses, soulpatch on chin, ironic pork pie hat and riding a fixie in my shoes, along Smith Street, on the way to the Organic Farmers Market, with no socks and rolled up black poo catcher jeans I'll blame you blahman - just before I run him off the road into the gutter and kick his spokes and try to steal the shoes.

Then I'll come around after you.

I think that opshop is suffering from the worst end of the general disease of opshops these days. Its the same as retail - overpriced.

I see second hand just ok shirts in the Salvos for $18. Hell I can get great new ones in my exact size and in colours I want from USA for $24.

Ties - in one opshop I go to I get great silk ties for 50c others its $2.50 - the Salvos were up to $7.

Cufflinks are better priced in proper vintage /antique shops. Not cheap but realistic. And some nice old double sided chain ones. Mind you they are a bastard to put on compared to one sided solid bar ones.

    Hi all,

Just bought a pair of loud windowpane check pants from a Sydney RTW brand.
Plan to go to work on them re alterations, possibly these will be my first pair of pants with cuffs.

Which brings me to my question, what is the ideal cuff height? Keeping in mind that these pants will be my first experience with cuffs, and that I will be wearing them very narrow at the ankle, and short with no break.

A place where straight males can go to be gay. A place where gay males can go to be themselves. And a place for everyone else to can go to troll these self absorbed losers.

    That is not very nice

That would be probably me who you ran off the street then

Not nice but very accurate at the same time. This thread is the only thread I find that is not populated by obnoxious, delusional twats.
