In the last couple of months I've seen a few members ask about this so wonder if someone from MJB has been following this thread, but in their recent email they've added an article explaining their labels/collections:

http://www.mjbale.com/blog

@blahman noticed that db cotton jacket you were referring to is back in stock if you're a size 36 two of them there.

Thanks dude.
Also anyone 36 or 44 after an overcoat: http://www.mjbale.com/on-sale/mens-coat-sale/bloomfield-grey-coat-16694
That's a bargain @ $200 shipped for 100% merino knee length coat.

Nice, simple and respectful. This is how it should be done. What a beautiful overcoat. Is that some old piece you've had for years of a new number?

PS when is the next Dress for Success sale?

The next sale is Friday 19th of June starting 12 noon - till 7pm.

I'll be on cash register - no dodgy cheques accepted ... yes I'm looking at whoever thinks I'm looking..

It continues Saturday 20th 10 am till 2pm.

I've had a squiz at the menswear on sale - to be honest its very limited and it would be less than 1% of whats on sale for women. In addition not much of the menswear would appeal to iGents here - a few things might - its certainly worth a look if you are with a female relative/friend/lover/mistress/fiancée/wife (or all of the mentioned).

As far as the female stuff goes - there is a small warehouse full - sorted in sizes and prices - many barely worn shoes. We only sell stuff that isn't suitable for job interviews - so that means super high heels and fancy shoes, "cocktail wear", "party wear", "race wear" (as I call it), etc. Any one who has been from here, Pinky, and others, will attest to the high quality and cheap prices and satisfaction the women get.

The optimum time to get there is 12 noon - many take a 2 hour lunch from the city or knock off at 4pm. They need to be prepared to either quickly try things on in dressing rooms or garb stuff and take a chance or try things on in the showroom (it happens frequently!) There is an atmosphere of friendly competition and helpfulness.

It doesn't mean if you get there Sat theres nothing left as people are different sizes and have different tastes.

The No 1 South Melbourne Beach tram from Flinders St Station / Swanston St stops right in front of Wear for Success. Clarendon St is 2 blocks away.

The other week myself and others dressed 2 people who were going to Sydney to be on the panel to tape an INSIGHT program on SBS on Homelessness. It should go to air in the next few weeks. I'll let you know.

blahman - 3 cloves is NOT a lot of garlic.

He did say he has lady friend!

But really lots of garlic = what they put in garlic nan bread: I burped and farted garlic for a whole day after eating a couple of pieces of that with curry.

There is a nice tussah in a dark green available below but then I guess for the guys that got the first one do you really want 2 similar coloured green ties? I'm mostly in favour of something that'll be worn often.

Using Henry the wombat again would be cool and easy as it's set up for embroidery already, but it's up to you guys at the end of the day. Either way we'll embroider on the back blade not front as to be kind of hidden.

I think navy is the most versatile so if you want a navy with texture there are lots of options...

1) grenadine grossa
2) grenadine fina
3) tussah silk
4) shantung silk
5) linen/silk
6) wool/silk herringbone

Feel free to add more if you have suggestions.

+1 for navy. Won't be down for another green tie.

What about maroon, burgundy or similar colour over that side of the colour wheel? I'm thinking everyone would have about 10 navy ties by now.

+2 navy tussah. Plain, simple, some iGent texture but not too slubby, reflects light well, ties a nice knot.

I have no idea who Henry The Wombat is (or whatever) but he definitely belongs on the back blade if anywhere at all.
