Having some time to burn before dinner last evening, I went for a little wibdow shopping around town. At one point I was looking at some Loakes when a couple walked in, picked up a shoe, tried to flex the new leather sole, acknowledged to each other that the sole is very stiff and promptly placed the shoe back on the table. They did the same test on a few more pairs before I had to escape in fear that I might do a very public facepalm.

Just like to share this great offer with Styleforum.

Tooheys New promotion is offering an official Wallabies supporter jersey for $10 (inc postage). Just enter the "unique" code from any Tooheys slab.

Just go to http://tooheysnew.com.au/rwc11.php and use the code "A9CD5UT6NX"

Note: I would say the Jersey fits large so size down one size

I just received mine yesterday and the quality is great. Well worth it for the price.

    Sounds good. Thanks for that.

How do the military get that stand up well fitting crew neck? Is the Oz military t shirts as good as the classic USA ones?

I'm actually after the old style clean USA look of the highish crew neck white t under the opened necked shirt. The straight opened necked shirt isn't a great look especially with two buttons undone.

I never wear anything under a shirt at any other time.

I do like Rivers. As you say they are what they are. One of the few honest Oz clothes retailers/ makers around. They don't pretend to be a high priced label. They are well made cheap workwear/ casual wear at an honest price point of something around cost plus rather than what the market will bear. Some of their stuff, if you like it, will last forever. Most of the stuff is badly designed as far as colors etc go. But I have great casual/workwear shirts in good slim fit, 100% nice thick cotton, nice blues, etc from years ago and still going no lost buttons, no wear to speak of and washed hundreds of times.

Their pants in ICE /white twill I mention above you won't find anything in the same class for even $120. They are not dress pants but they don't pretend to be, they don't pretend to be Japanese denim either.

When I say I like them I don't mean I like everything, or even much, of what they sell. In fact I probably like around .00437% of their stuff, but that's more than I like of Harrolds, or most other stores.

Blahman will want a couple of those to wear under his suit jacket.

Had a look at The Official Preppie Handbook from 1980 and now understand what this site is about!
I even have a few Jos A Bank ties, now on the lookout for boating shoes for summer!

I haven't gone overboard yet but this site has certainly improved the way I dress, no sloppy joes or walking to the mall in thongs these days.

I have no idea on either count. As I was departing from the army they were bringing in the american style shirts but I never got one so unfortunately I don't have any experience with them.

Well looks like he's the winner unless they find the drugs, he crashes into a dopey French labrador, a drunken EU lout falls on his bike or his back wheel gets the wobbles again.
