    For blahman::

    I picked these silk ties up from the same opshop yesterday.

    Bad pics but they are all great.

    Cost= $10 for 4

    Your reaction = Priceless

    Hahahahaha what are those tie by? To be honest, I'm not a big fan of patterned ties. I'm more of a simple stripe or textured solid sort of guy. Just plain with a touch of uniqueness, hence I don't buy man standard woven and print ties now days. $2.50 for ties are still damn good deal.

    Just visited the Canali site and was quite surprised by the promo shots having such slim cuts. The only Canalis I've ever seen are very much quite cnservative and generously cut.

    That's probably because places like Henry Bucks only stock the drop-6 body with 'power shoulders'. The drop-7 and drop-8 models can look slimmer, especially with a softer shoulder.

    Canali also have a new block, the 'Milano line' which is an even slimmer silhouette. Very high armholes, narrow sleeves etc. I haven't tried one on yet. They haven't arrived in Australian stores yet but I've seen it at Azzaro.

    Right, my missus recently bought me two size 39 slim-fit Herringbone shirts in one of their pop-up sale things.

    Worn once, simply too tight around the neck when I do up the top button and try to put a tie on, so subsequently I can't wear them.

    I know I know I know I know I KNOW that this should be going in one of the 493 sub-section forums of the Buying & Selling Space, but let's face it - it's a bloody jungle in there, we (the occupants of this particular thread) have always prided ourselves as being above the general bullshitness of the rest of this site, and (c) I've run out of excuses... So fcuk it.

    Two HB Slim fit french cuffed shirts, size 39 - one pink and white stripped, one purple and white stripped. Worn once, looking for a new home. $100 for the pair of 'em. PM me before they hit ebay...

    Happy to provide photos if you PM me too.

    Cheers.

    No takers before they hit eBay?

    I've got around 70 ties and I've only ever bought about 5 at full price.

    One of the ones I posted is a Canali - the deep red one. Another is Henry Bucks Made in Italy, a Hardy Ames and a Giorgio Redaelli. All thick silk.

    Nice porty. I want one just like it but don't think I can justify the price at the moment when there are a few other similar options that are quite a bit cheaper. I always wanted an IWC though [IMG]

    a 36 available? I'd love to snap one of those up. And for some reason I'm itching for a 3 piece now despite the whole looking like Korean boy band business. I wonder if the Toorak op shops stock better items.

    I doubt it. All I saw was one suit in that model along with a bunch of stuff which Alessandro personally carted from Milan when he went to head office for a meeting.

    Wish I had a job that involved visiting Canali in Milan.
