1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Hi gents,

Was going to buy this on the SF marketplace but thought I'd give Aus Members the first pick:

    38S Suit Supply Linen SC - $150

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/1etihqwzfjyqtzr/DSC01668 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/8913joieihbc9ak/DSC01671 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/3rv7x81w11o5dq5/DSC01682 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

No alterations, vents and pockets still closed. Slight structured shoulder - not unstructured like their havana jackets - I'm a 38S but need the sleeves up about half an inch normally - the sleeves on these are between a S/R and any alterations I'd have to do would be from the shoulder, so time for someone else to rock it.

6UK Meermin Penny Loafers Brown Suede - $100

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/3xp0u6hwedeti31/DSC01687 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/t9atjm12ab8zpps/DSC01685 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/6049rb65uiaugcq/DSC01684 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

Worn probably half a dozen times (hence heel wear - pictured), and half a size too big for me. I'm normally a 6UK but to rock sexy ankles (hi fxh) I'll have to be a 5.5UK :(

34R (hemmed to my inseam ~70cm but will confirm) Suit Supply VBC flannel trousers - $70

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/lwa2da1eaahjg1w/DSC01675 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/49svcjhi2np2s6e/DSC01677 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/rhxcaz5wqpuxk8h/DSC01679 (Custom).JPG?dl=0

34R (hemmed to my inseam ~70cm but will confirm) white O&J chinos - $50

(no pics but can easily get some)

Let me know if anybody is keen before I put these on the classifieds.

    Cheers,

    Alex

    Hi Alex
Interested in the sportscoat. Could you give me measurements for shoulder to shoulder, and sleevelengths please?

    Regards
    Peter

Speaking of Menswear consumption related topics, has anyone ever bought Cigars online, and know a reputable retailer?

I've used Puro Express before. I got charged duty on one box which was around $200 on top of what you pay for the cigars, and the tariff has definitely increased since then. Bought a smaller five pack another time and paid no duty. The cigars came in ziplock bags with a humidipack. Would use Puro Express again.

We've had a Tabacco Vanille split in the thread - Jimmy maybe you can start a straight tobacco split?

Me, I'll take an eighth spliff split of the good stuff.

For PoP - I really think a button down OC would have been a better choice

Looks like ernesto is doing a spliff split too.

I would suggest a white T shirt is better. And the pencil stripe shirt's formality clashes with the inherent casualness of the zippered suede jacket.

Which raises the question - is the activity inherently casual or formal? Winter or summer? City vs country?

I'd be in on a cigar split, as long as they're Cuban, and preferably either:

    - Cohiba
    - Montecristo no. 4
    - Romeo Y Julieta
    - other brands such as H. Upmann, Punch, Hoya de Monterrey etc. will be considered.

Davidoff and other pretenders are of no interest to me.

If no one else wants to run with this, I happen to be leaving for China on Tuesday and will be back two weeks later. I could purchase just about any of the above, duty free, at Pudong Int'l Airport on my way back. Prices are most reasonable there.

Op shop cherry popped. An Oscar Hunt suit spotted in a Sacred Heart suit rack. Makes a change from Planet and Flair, I guess.

What do you guys think of ventless suits? I saw a lovely Belvest suit in an op shop, but it had no vent. Very tempted to snag it in case someone wanted it, but I get the feeling that ventless is a deal-breaker. Am I right?
