1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Wurger,

Next time check out Real McCoy. They have a noticeably slimmer fit than most jackets, especially in the lower price ranges.

Ok, it's only $295 aud from Christies, and I can try on the sizes.

Wow, 1500 from real McCoy, I will pass.

Well, that's less than a pair of St Crispin's and a horsehide McCoy's jacket will last you for the rest of your life.

And how long does a normal goat skin one last?

Also, I don't buy shoes for their durability, it's for a certain look and shoe craze...

But once we can find a reason to convince ourselves, any price can be justified.

From what I understand, goatskin is also very durable, but HH is the toughest of the offerings.

As I posted earlier, the mid to high-end Uk and Euro based brands tend to be slimmer than their American counterparts. Aero has a few sub-1K A2s, and the Kelso AC29971 repro is 435 pounds with shipping.

Will do a comparison between the G&B and the Kelso when I receive both, and then post the results.

Lastly, Between Horsehide and Goat, I much prefer the first. The more creased it gets, the more distinct the grain, and the better and wears

Hey Foxy, do post some pics when you get your kit; curious to see how the TOJs turn out!

As with most things, I suppose it's what you pair them with.

This doesn't look dadcore to me:

I know that an A-2 jacket isn't very goth-ninja streetwear in style, but it's hardly "dadcore". It's a great look, whether you're wearing it with jeans, chinos, t-shirt, oxford shirt or something else.

Instead of "dadcore", think of Steve McQueen in "The Great Escape" or Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones movies.

Yes, that is why the fit for a leather jacket to your body is of the utmost importance.

Unless you absolutely kill the fit it can look very WWII play.

Ask PoP about dadcore. He uses the goatskin after the sacrifice to dance in and do the other rituals.

That's why I try to avoid the whole thing with the unit patches.
