1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Yeah, it's the extra knitted fabric that's causing my reticence.

I like the contrast provided when I fold the collar back, but I'm unsure of the effect buttoned up.

Who? Any links? There is some good stuff there but lots of not so good stuff too.

By the way, I just changed my avatar. Apologies to anyone who finds it as confusing as I do when people do that.

Friday night fun - bought a power hammer drill. And I thought menswear was pricey...

By the way, any of you chaps know how many posts the big thread on SF has. This thread must be up there (or am I dreaming).

Those are some seriously sweet sneakers.
I'm a massive fan of it. Jealous of the knit.

Whilst I agree to some extent, belts should be kept on jeans.

After spending the day battling a serious hangover, a ten hour shift, six hours of class, a shitty situation with a girl, and an all round shit day, coming home to a plethora of parcels on my desk containing my various menswear purchases over the last 3 weeks is the best thing I could possibly imagine. This is better than Christmas.

What's with all the belt hate?

Narrow hips and an ever-expanding waistline = belts are my best friends.

They are not as comfortable as non-belts.

    Non-belts, oh man, such luxury.

Wow, some absolutely amazeballs posts there! Thanks for the link, GN! Funny how someone commented on the overhanging Liverano shoulder as a fit problem. They absolutely have no friggin clue.... Aussie menswear bosses all round now - very proud to have overtaken the Swedes. GN and Romp should weigh in there and solidify our invasion =)

Pinkie, I haven't bought a hammer drill for our place yet. Just a regular cheapo drill....

Side tabs undermine the utilitarian nature of jeans.

Chinos I can understand, but I don't know how feasible it is to expect people to get M2M when you can get decent chinos under $100.

And side tabs on suits always look better*

    *The exception to this being:
    (a) when you're Prime Minister of the UK and you have to shop at TM Lewin in order to look middle class;
    (b) when you're Prime Minister of Australia and you have to wear Anthony Squires in order not to piss off readers of The Australian; or
    (c) when you're the President of the USA and you have to wear a $20K bespoke suit cut as if you got it OTR at Brooks Brothers in order to look middle class.

Sorry to break up the no belt "love-in" but going to have to disagree and say belts compliment and complete an outfit. Not referring to streetwear of course.

    Well, here's the haul.

First up, the new 2014/2015 kit.

New denim from 3sixteen. I haven't worn indigo jeans in about two years, this will be fun.

My new Luxire Denim Chore Jacket I got made up. Took five weeks or so, but it should be quicker if anyone else wants one as they have made the pattern now.

New Seagull 1963 Reissue Panda edition. Dislike the strap, olive one on the way from NatoStrapCo. They also have a 40% off sale till the 2nd.

Alden Snuff Suede Perforated Captoe boots.
