1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Fwiw I'd treat super numbers as a guide rather than gospel. Nothing beats feeling the cloth. Cheap weavers can create high super numbers at detriment to the cloth.

Feel, weave and weight are more important to me

Oli considering you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping, its a worthwhile investment. I blew a fair bit on a good mattress (and quality pillows) earlier this year and i haven't looked back since - no more pain in my neck and shoulders, and sound unbroken sleep.

You're either in your shoes or in your bed, so it's wise to invest in both.

Speaking of mattresses, yesterday all our stuff from Shanghai was delivered to our Melbourne apartment, including my fabulous Sealy king bed. Can't remember the model name but they stopped making that model a few years ago. Online reviews all state that it was one of the best beds they ever made. Slept on it last night for the first time in months - really, really grand. I love that bed.

Good mattress + good linen = awesome sleep. I've got a gel layer and independent coils on mine. Gel heaps me feel cool as I get too hot normally

Sounds a bit like mine except I've got gel + memory foam but its effect is very similar to independent coils. I think it was from technogel IIRC.

I went to OMF and got an 'Indulgence' with individual pocket springs.

There was a really minimalist one called the 'Home' I liked without the pillow top flim-flam but the rents talked me out of it :(

Was Garry at the NGV today in RMW's, jawnz, overcoat, scarf, hat, accompanied by a lovely blonde with blue flowers at around midday today?

I was at the Mid Century Design exhibit mentally masturbating over minimalism. Was going to stop and say hi before the enormity of the consequences of it not being you hit me like a tonne of bricks.

My mrs and I bought 2 beds in the last year, one Sleepmaker and one Sealy. These brands are always 45% off Myers, and usually a bit more with bargaining.

Got to say, woman love new beds.

It wasn't me but I was there today.

Coincidentally, I just came from the NGV and also wearing RMWs and jawnz. No overcoat, hat or blonde companion though.

RMWs and jawnz + a camera + flanked by two middle aged buff asian guys both rocking DSLRs?

I walked past you then as well!

I thought you were the same dude from before. I walked past you with the fiancee - she had a floral dress and green tights, I had a navy patch pocket sportscoat, loafers and tealish chinos.
