Would an unstructured navy cotton sports coat compliment this outfit? If not, what would be a better recommendation?
I would say yes as I have worn similar but with brown belt and shoes.

GF - Those are (albeit cheap) dark brown shoes and belt, so a few shades lighter on the brown?

They look like Feit shoes to me.

http://www.feitdirect.com/products/hand-sewn-low-smog

What I'd be interested in is a photo of the sole (the website doesn't show this angle) and whether or not they would be able to be re-soled.
Details please!

I think it might be a channeled sole, i may be wrong but there are no visible welts.

@Foxhound Yep it is the Feit low smog.
They recommend sockless wear, today will be a good test to that!

Guys what's everyone's experience with the tie bar?

I want a red grenadine and I'm not patient enough to go through HC and Drakes.

Also, I need something that can take abuse from things like split kebabs and doing ties up whilst driving.

I ordered quite a few ties from them. For $15 a pop and about $12 shipping, they fit the bill quite nicely for someone on a tight budget. The quality isn't particularly phenomenal but they're on par with many of the $30-40 ties from Myer, DJ or MJ Bale. Delivery is quick and they have some nice designs.

I am done for. Azzaro now stocks Brioni. Suits $1500, shirts $200.

They are also stocking Zegna again, and Bresciani as well. Goodbye savings.

I wonder where he is sourcing his stock from?

What do you mean 'Zegna again?' He's never stocked Zegna for as along as I've been going there (since 2009).

BTW I'm at an Asian satellite conference and there is lots of interesting tailoring from our Asian visitors. Lots of linen/cotton mixes, patch pockets and soft construction. I think Asian scientists are generally dressed better than their Australian equivalents (myself excepted of course ;) )
