1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Don't know, but the jacket is Maimone. (on collins street). His handywork is reportedly quite good (according to Tom).

It's difficult to get a fix on the garment. It looks like a double breasted pinstripe with blazer buttons. If that's what it is, the thing is suffering from a major identity crisis.

Lapels that reach all the way over to the sleeve head will always look like costume. And Is that a throat latch, or just the lapel buttonhole?

Those lapels are wider than the ones on Salvatore Ambrosi's suits! It looks like he's about to take off, they're so wide.

It looks rather absurd or "costumey" to me, for a few reasons - the extraordinarily wide lapels, the brass buttons on the sleeves (in contrast to the horn buttons on the chest), and the maroon or burgundy lining on the jacket sleeve gauntlet, in deliberate contrast to the suit fabric material.

Stiva - that's just the lapel buttonhole, not a throat latch.

They look like leather sleeve buttons to me..?
I think we all agree that things look a bit out of proportion.. but it might not that bad if he is a very tall gent, the fit looks good though!

Wear it outside of #menswear event and he'd look pretty dumb.

Visited Sydney on the weekend (from Bris) and dropped by suitshop for an appointment with Remy. Just getting a basic navy suit, $975 for half canvassed. Patrick dropped into the shop at the start of the actual fitting process and did the measurements with Remy, so walked out of there with some confidence that the end product will fit well. Nice shop, great & knowledgeable service so far from Remy & Patrick and I like the efficient process at suitshop (In and out in about 50 minutes). Looking forward to getting the suit and will update once after second fitting.

@thebrownman and I were having coffee on the Ground Floor of the strand that day, around the same time.

Buttons are nice but the lapels are ridiculous.

    Bumped into Michael Clarke today.

He was wearing a pretty standard grey suit. It looked like Hugo Boss. Terrible black shoes with big black sun glasses. Was polite of him to say hello. Shorter than you might expect as well - but then again the majority of powerful men are less than 6 ft.

Lovely shoes but a bit formal for my dress habits these days. If they were wingtips or medallion semi-brogues in that shade I would have mugged you on your recent visit to Sin City.
