1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Just finished my review of Suit Shop's fitting process which you can read here.

Really good bunch of guys at Suit Shop. I wasn't the one getting fitted, but it's the third fitting I've experienced with Remy and, as always, he was a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend.

I remember seeing that jacket at Herringbone last (?) winter.

It is definitely more "green" in real life, and the fabric looked nice, too.

Tuxedo button stance is traditionally lower than a regular jacket and it's typically one button

Ps thanks for the write up Kayhill!

Does anyone know about Oscar Hunt in Melbourne and their mtm quality? I'm looking at getting my first mtm suit, spending around the $600-800 range and advice would be much appreciated.

Hi All , where do you fellas buy your wool dress stocks from? For 3 pairs of socks im looking at over $50 in shipping from STP (Pantherella) and Kabbaz.(Marcoliani) Im in Perth so i prefer to buy international *dont want to pay 'perth' prices for socks.

The only other place is Viccel. Are they still good quality for wool socks?

Yup, correct, I bought it last Autumn. 100% cotton very subtle herringbone weave and a very very subtle pin-stripe.

Try Howard yount. His shipping is $20 for each $100 purchased (or at least he used to be). DJs occasionally discount pantherella.

Last order from Viccel was shit quality and took an age to arrive... others have had better experiences but I wouldn't buy from them again.

Good old Perth... Cost of living here is ridick, not just the socks

Good to see you back. What you been up to?

Viccel had some sort of quality meltdown at one stage on merino socks and they withdrew them essentially. Then they did a revamp but didn't have my favourites back. I have ordered some since the big disaster and have been happy with them. I could go to the website and look if someone really wants to know what was OK.

I'm not hard on socks, or clothes generally, and don't ever seem to wear anything out. I have darned a few toe holes in my original viccel socks but hell I'd guess they are at least 5 years old.

    Thanks All
H.Y shipping is $10 for orders under $99.95 for socks but they only stock the Howard Yount brand (~ $25) . Are these the same quality as Pantherella and Marcoliani? I only ask since they are similar prices.

I'm carrying Bresciani now also, $7 flat rate postage or $10 ex post.

Having sold both Pantherella and now Bresciani, I can say that the latter stay up about 200% better than Pantherella. No experience with Marcolioni to compare.
