1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Cetaphil is pretty cheap and has a few with different spf ratings.

    QV is good too.

This device is an anachronism and its use on any shirts today is really a quaint nod to the past.

Tend to agree, this is pretty much what I've told him but he is dead set on it. Having said that I have another friend who is getting married this year who is the complete opposite. $500 MJ Bale suit was too much so he's making everyone rent a three piece for the tune of $300 a pop. On wearability, I think he will wear it to the races a few times a year and his partner is into the vintage scene and goes to a lot of events in fancy dress.
This is what I was looking at, pretty decent price too. Went to Gentlemen's Outfitters on Hunter St with him over the weekend just for him to get a taste for what he wanted. Experience (as usual) was abysmal. Walk in and be greated by looks down the nose and exasperation when you tell them you want to look at XYZ.

Agreed but he won't. After all it's his wedding and it's what he wants. I've learnt the hard way re convincing people on Wedding attire. He asked my opinion and I gave it to him. As for the groomsmen, none of us are wearing the same thing. He just wants us to wear our "best/favourite" suit, with in reason of course he doesn't want people rocking up in a white or purple suit. I'm going to wear a Navy three piece for example.

As of last month we developed a DB waistcoat. Sorry not in time for your wedding Ovlov!

We have a dermatologist client who swears by the Cetaphil brand. I used the one with SPF15+ and its got a pink/purple label. Its great I use it all the time

Does anyone know if Brooks Brothers is open in the Sydney CID David jones yet?

Also, Nabil, I'd be interested in your initial thoughts on the Gats?

Foxy, I can't believe you bought the Margieala ones... Without malice, how many pairs of shoes have you bought in 12 Months? You're starting to make Gerry look stingy in the shoe department...

I'm invited to a wedding next month. It's a swanky wedding in a big church and a reception at a big classy and well known venue. I am told the groom is having a suit made for the wedding, but I have no idea whether we're talking lounge suit, tux, morning suit... (the wedding is in the morning, the reception is later). It is going to be the swankiest wedding I have ever been to, easily.

My inclination for a fancy wedding is to wear my tux (black, of course). I suppose there's a chance I will be dressed more formally than the groom and groomsmen if the groom is going for a lounge suit, but that's not going to be regarded as bad form is it? I would have thought a tux to a big wedding is never bad form.

You can always just ask the bride and / or groom if they mind :)
Black can be a bit garish during the day, looks a lot better at night
