Indeed - I've been musing on them for the last month and finally bit the bullet.

The scarf is a case of me underestimating the Melbourne chill, and needing something to take the edge off. Quite happy with it even if it wasn't a planned purchase.

Still looking for a nice Mac :S

Not a problem at all. The 256?

Think about it - I have hardly any baggage for the short trip.

Thanks, PS - managed to pick up a pair from a Sydney branch. Absolutely love them.

    I've bought 10 wooden hangers from these guys: they're lovely - http://www.shopforshops.com/adult-t...med-shouldercolour-wenge/w1/i1126352_2522541/

And at $3.29 a pop, can't complain at all. They have a physical store in Alexandria.

No wire hangers, please - spoils the shoulder, and it pulls at sleeves as well. It's going to be bad for the drape of your suit.

Congrats on the Lobbs. I saw some JL William boots in a shop window recently, my favourite style of double monk by far... tempting!

For coat hangers it might be worth trying Howard's Storage World, especially their DFO outlet. Also, have you considered op shops? You could probably talk an op shop into giving you good hangers for peanuts. You'd be surprised at the quality you might find on their racks, with branded hangers very common.

I just use the plastic hangers and canvas bags that come with my suits. Cedar only masks the smell of wool from moths rather than repel them, so I don't see the point.

I tend to go all out on tie and belt racks though, peters of kensington sell woodlore stuff on the cheap.

Btw guys, I need some tips on my next two purchases:

    (1) I'm looking at getting a pair of classic mid grey flannels, but in tropical worsted because I feel the heat

    http://www.howardyount.com/collections/wool-pants/products/tropical-wool-pants-usa-medium-gray

    (2) Picking up a poor man's watch - thinking Timex Elevated Classic Dress.

    I'm leaning towards the first.

    Thoughts?

Not sure if its more classic or just minimalist but I too outright prefer the first

Can also get them from Mr Porter.

    Sizing is pretty fitted.

    Great polos IMO.

Jacket looks too short and the model is wearing a t-shirt. Not really my cup of tea.
