Thanks Ernesto! The Hallams are old faithfuls and actually look a lot better than my mediocre photography reflects (I've been playing with Journeyman's Fuji x10 but I really don't know what I'm doing!)...

The Carminas, I will probably sell, alas. I took ages to decide on them, then wore them once and realised that I'm just not a wholecut guy. Still, they got a shine :)

As for rainy days, I tend to go for a dark navy (okay, my favourite anyway), because it looks good in dim light, and also because if I get a bit of rain on it, it's not really noticeable. Dark brown shoes, because they don't show a bit of mud too badly...

Nice shoes, nice shine.

Do people have rainy day suits?

+1 - Very nice shine on those Carmina wholecuts, FP.

I don't know about a rainy day suit, but I wore some flannel today - Fox Flannel, to be precise:

700

700

Details:

- Deer Style MTO suit;
- Deer Style MTO shirt;
- Black silk knit tie by Ascot Ties;
- J. Press sterling silver tie clip;
- Kent Wang white linen pocket square; and
- Crockett & Jones "Audley".

Nice boots Henry!

Shine looks a bit better in daylight, still can't manage to capture the real colour though, which looks like thick honey...

Like the brown one Rob, very nice. I too think it's a great colour despite not ever owning one.

Today, 2 Shades of grey

I know its against the hivemind here on SF but I'd be really keen to see what that outfit looked like pushed a bit further into deliberate territory with a grey shirt as well.

Digging all the brown love. Weirdly, I'm wearing a darkish brown three piece today.

Bear in mind this photograph is a few years old, this chap works for Brunello Cucinelli and is wearing the company's look from that time period.

And, he's in mid-step. The leg would have definitely risen slightly.
Not sure what fabrics suitshop are carrying, but I got a very dark solid brown in Loro Piana fabric from PJ a while ago that I'm very happy with. Maybe they have that one.

I just reserved a length of a very dark chocolate/brown Loro Piana wool as well!

I was convinced on the brown suit a while ago --

-- and then just saw this clip of Aziz Ansari rocking a brown suit, with a black knit tie. Sold.

I'll skip the grey-ish shirt, though.
