1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    I think you're great Cox.

Hope to be able to say g'day when I'm in Shanghai in January.

    Cheers mate.

The big bummer is that I won't be in Shanghai in January. At all.

But I do have a good excuse - my wedding.

So. It turns out in a past life I was a relatively provocative dancer in an ATC music video.

No stress - only there for 3 days.

Have an old friend I'm hoping to 'spend some time with' there anyway :).

By the way my Kamakura OCBD arrived today.
I went the Tokyo slim fit and it fits perfectly, not full Italian tight but nice and fitted. Collar roll is amazing too GW -esque.
Construction and details - shell buttons, are above MJ Bale, HB or similar priced shirts at first inspection.

Might be worthwhile for the barrister path...

A friend went on to do masters in medical law (negligence) but without fully committing to a career in that field and only that field, its might not bear enough fruit to pay off the FEE HELP bill... but, that is a fantastic qualification to shoe in for apprenticeship with a medical neg barrister... doctors' pockets are probably deeper than average...

I'd not recommend any accreditation course in commercial law for a solicitor if I'm honest - in some areas it might be the number of clients you pull, rather than your qualifications in that particular field, that determines whether you make or break...

    Just my 2 cents :)

I can't see any real value if you're in a general commercial practice. I think that for family law and personal injury, it might sound impressive enough, when you're trying to net one-time clients who might think that it matters. But otherwise, generally you'll stand and fall on your reputation, skills, and client service.

Just quietly, we should start a Lawyers of SF thread...

    Hey guys,

Who would you currently recommend for Suit Jacket alterations in Melbourne. I'm looking at getting the shoulders and maybe waist taken in on one of my jackets and I'm looking for a quality tailor to do the job. I can't seem to find any recent recommendations!

Had to teach nubcake PhD candidates how to use Excel today. Legitimately got asked how to enter a capital A into the formula bar. They got to '=a1' but couldn't make the leap to '=A2'.

Excuse the neckbeard - working too much to shave.

Went down to my tailor's on FuXing Road for a third fitting on my pink linen DB suit. (Yes, you read that correctly.)

It hadn't arrived back from the workshop.

    Major, major bummer.

Other bummer was the weather. Yesterday I wore a pair of storm-welted Dainite soles out. Result: brilliant sunshine.

Today I woke to brilliant sunshine. Out came the thin-soled loafers. Result: rain.
