MTO Italian Blake/Rapid stitched shoes just for you, blahman [IMG]

They lack chisel toe lasts [IMG]

Funny thing I prefer chisel toe with calf and not too fussed about it when its suede.

I disagree. I think taking 2in in from the waist changes the whole sit and structure of the pants.
I took in a waist from a 34 to a 32 and it looked silly.

Sadly I have only ever had to alter pants in the other direction - but they have always turned out okay.

Is it that the back pockets were too close together? and the side pokets start to come aound the corner a bit. If so, I dare say you are right and would probably be more pronounced going down to a 31.

Even 2 inches in at the waist make the thighs look like they balloon out about a bit.
You can try and narrows the thighs too, then the pants start looking like bell bottoms.
If it isn't an overly pricey suit, butcher away.. but i rarely see it turn out to the desired look

I have had a 32 down to 30 once, because the thighs on 30 were too tight and waist on 32 too wide. Turned out OK for me.

I have seen (and pinned) many 2 inch waist and seat alterations with rarely a great outcome. On another note, thoughts on Virgin Blue’s new uniforms? Don’t really care about uniforms but when they take something average (didn’t mind the khaki and white) and turn it into an embarrassing groomsmen ensemble I cringe http://www.theage.com.au/photogaller...electedImage=0

The Ralph Lauren outlet store has black lable, orphaned suit jackets for sale for....$998.

Is it just me or does that seem like a lot of money for such an item?

Massive a trip to Vinnies/Salvos will turn up any number of orphan jackets for like AUD5-25.
