Appreciate it. I will be 'backpacking', while my paired-up family members stay in various hotels etc. So I wont exactly be roughing it, and there'll likely be plenty of dinners. ..and shit, we're swingin by Monaco ffs [IMG]

Yeah The Ernesto, I was thinking it might be ideal to buy once I get there... Just thinking something pretty cheap with a lapel, cut well, might be better than something more casual.
Starting in Amsterdam and then likely down to Florence.

Im also having a shoe dilemma. Might not take leather :(

This would work well as a travel jacket/blazer but doesn't look like they have a 42 http://www.themensshop.com.au/MJ-Bale-Cotton-Stone-Blazer/MJ-Bale-Jackets/

If you have some, I think a pair of leather boots are perfect for travelling - sturdy and rugged enough for when there is actual travelling involved, but can easily be cleaned up for a night out under chinos/odd trousers. Alden Indy,s Wolverine 1ks etc.

If you're in Florence, check out Boggi, Aspesi, Boglioli. You will get a healthy discount when you claim your VAT refund at the airport.

That is nice, I was actually looking at the navy check one, and happy to see the already discounted price has a further 25%.
Was concerned about the length. Definitely need a 'Long'...

I do have Wolverine 1ks in great condition, but just dunno with the toe and all. Would think a dark chelsea boot would be ideal.
Thinking might even look for some cheap loafers (poss. suede) while I'm over there

Just be aware they won't have all those styles in store, just what is in season.

Nonetheless, you will probably find what you want in Amsterdam (in terms of clothing, and other things...).

Thanks. Won't hesitate to spend a bit more with that in mind.
