1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Anyone listen to 774? Henry Blofeld is what all SF high rollers should aim to sound like.

I meant Argyle in general is currently "in". Every big label is rocking Argyle sweaters, the pattern is everywhere. It certainly isn't too old for DJ.

I recall seeing some AS in a window display somewhere around the city. Maybe Henry Bucks... or one of those little im-cooler-than-you arty farty shoe stores on little Collins

i just grabbed a whole bunch of thin flat laces from double monk - "shoe stripes" so good. Really improved the look of my shoes imo.

Both the PRL and RLBL look great. Did you have the fit altered in any way? I was thinking of bringing in my RL suits to the tailor to make them trimmer.

+1. I much prefer the look of flat, waxed laces as opposed to round laces. I've got to pick up some more from somewhere - perhaps I should give Double Monk a call and see if they'll send some up to me.

If I'd known, I could have got you some! They are, however, $14 per pair...

I am a big fan of flat laces too. Put some of the Double Monk ones in my Christian Kimber boots, however they are $10 a pair (but there is a range of colours). I ordered a bunch of black and brown ones from A Fine Pair of Shoes when I got my Alfred Sargent monks, but there shipping always seemed too expensive to order them on their own (though they might be flexible).

Read an interesting book review in the Australian on the weekend while its mainly a dissection of women's fashion one phrase stood out in the review 'the Fashion-Industrial Complex' WTF?

It also featured the word Orthovestia meaning right dressing, right fitting, right looking: the pressure to wear what fits and flatters, whether literally, socially, culturally, fashionably or ideologically. Never come across it before i have to admit.

Even better than Phil Kearns slipping in Callipygous the other night in the Rugby.

GF, is there still a meet on this weekend? I'll be in the city but will be putting all my stock in to the new retail place I've picked up in the morning from 9.30. It'll likely take 1-2 hours I'd say. Let me know what the plans are anyway and i'll see what I can do.

    Casual ones?

I just received a couple from Lands End which were on sale (ended up about $50 a piece landed).

    Or work ones?

Jason got some very nice looking Kamakuras recently - http://kamakurashirts.com/.
