1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Jason,

Where does your bambino weave sit in the spectrum of grenadine coarseness? How much closer to the fina weave is it, compared to the grossa?

    Much obliged!

It sure was. And I picked today to snag my nice new HC cashmere gloves in my coat zip and tear a bloody big hole in one of them!

First glance those shoes look awesome, second glance I notice the creasing and the lacing pattern [IMG]

Definitely closest to the fina, it's a smaller, tighter, more formal weave than the grossa. The bigger weaves seem to be very well represented already by the likes of Hober, wang etc so I don't have any plans do do the bigger ones at present. The best thing I've found with the tighter weave is no snags, which is an issue on the larger weaves.

With the new delivery (which may be here tomorrow if I'm lucky) will have re-stocks of the 5 current colours (navy, black, brown, forest and burgundy) and the new plum and silver all in the bambino weave.

Good news - Canali on Macquarie St are having a 50% off sale now.

Bad news - It's mostly uninspired and boring as crap. Buyer needs to be shot.

Have a squizz if you'd like though.

Zegna this season OTOH is abso gorgeous but also abso overpriced... $1215 for a navy sweater with beige trim??!! Let's just say their pricing makes Harrolds look reasonable in comparison.

Just posted in the carmina thread but will asks the Aussies for advice. Put on my new carmina rain navy shells and devastatingly they are too big.

I have a pair of Simpsons in 8uk and go the same on the rain last but I have lots o heel slippage and it just feels to big.

Will putting an insole in work?

Quite likely, yes. And the heel slippage will reduce once the sole leather breaks in.

    No worries.

Anyone watch that little Paris kitchen show (on SBS now if you're quick)?

My wife loves it. The host is achingly beautiful. Easy to get a crush on that's for sure.
