1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

BTW there are some interesting deals at Myer and DJ's at the moment. Myer has Ralph Lauren Polo Bradford suits for $650 and some Black Label Anthony suits for $800. Some nice Polo sports jackets as well.

DJ's has Canali at prices I've rarely seen. Suits from $1000 - $1200. Kei jackets are unfortunately not as heavily discounted.

Agreed. My DJ's sale purchase yesterday was a double breasted three quarter length wool cashmere Hardy Amies coat, $370 down from $700. Highly recommend, and there's still quite a few left at Sydney DJs.

Yes, I think it's some kind of cotton, but I'm not sure it's a mac, it drapes too nicely. I believe this is another view of the same coat:

It looks lined and probably tailored. I will go and check out TM Lewin though; it's only up the road on King St, but given my slight fram (34'' chest) I don't like my chances off the rack.

    Heading to NYC at the start of September and will be there for fashion week. I'm only packing light and the bare essentials. I was thinking of taking the follow;

    1. Navy linen jacket
    2. Beige chinos
    3. Handful of OCBDs (light blue, pink, grey, light green)
    4. One White shirt
    5. One Sky blue shirt
    6. One Navy knit tie
    7. Brown wingtips
    8. Navy loafers

    Did I miss anything?

Socks take up space and add unnecessary weight to the bag.

I was reading quite a few pages back about how guys need to sneak new suits etc into their homes without the missus catching on.

He's my tip, which I think I should patent:

Next time you're at the dry cleaners ask for or buy a few wire hangers and some plastic suit covers they use.

Use these for your new suit. Helps to ring before and say you have to pick up some dry cleaning you'd left there a couple of days back.

    Sneaky eh ?

Couldn't you just wear it and drop the old one at the dry cleaners. I don't think my wife would notice if I came back in a different suit (unless it was that safari suit I have my eye on).
All the same, nice plan - I like it.

No no no you should just be honest with your wife and say you bought a new suit.

It's the price you paid which you lie about.....

Never apologise, never admit error, never resign

The worst thing about ordering online is the unexpected box plonked on the verandah..

    There is another strategy

"Its for my mate ..insert name here.. - hes too scared to tell his wife about what he buys - don't say anything - hes embarrassed - sad isn't it a relationship like that - not like us"

Hey guys, back!......and greeted with a mankini......
    Nolvadex very fucking nice suit!
Just wondering if you guys use suede for wet weather? I find myself wearing chukkas a lot in the weekends and with some spray they seem to do fine even in shitty weather; with this theory was thinking of replicating the storm welted RM's in a dark brown suede (crazy?)!
