1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

    Let's.

    Do.

    This.

    Thing.

    Or, you know, just hang.

    I like both ideas (yours and Gerry's). I'm sure I'd enjoy both quite a lot as there's a lot of Melbourne's menswear I've not explored.

    Oli - my BiL has a pair of Steel Safety Toe Volleys.

    My old man wore them when building houses and walking across joist and rafters.

    I have another mate who wears them bushwalking

    So I have a soft spot for them.
    I don't wear them but I would if I could.

    Black and the standard white (very dirty) of course look great.

    It took me ages to wake up to the way to do it - after I went with a tradie - my BiL ..

    When at Bunnings grab a BIG pocket full of those free nozzles - makes life a lot easier.

    A close-up shot of today's shirt, tie, jacket and pocket square:

    [IMG]

    Details:

    - Land's End OCBD shirt;
    - Ascot silk knit tie;
    - Herringbone cotton-silk paisley pocket square;
    - MJ Bale unstructured jacket;

    [Not shown - Sterling silver tie clip by J.Press; chocolate brown, cotton trousers by Charles Tyrwhitt; and two-eyelet, tan calfskin plain-toe bluchers by Loake.]

    As I was walking along the river on the way into work this morning, I passed a man who was sitting on the footpath listening to music on his phone. He looked up at me, gave me a big smile and a thumbs up, and said, "Love the tie, bro!"

    Yesterday's discussion of split toes made me get my Meermin's out from the back of the wardrobe. I've always thought they were a bit too light in colour and a bit too red. But I took to them with some dark brown and then a coat of black polish and I'm pretty happy with the results.

    :) Was on those classic sneaker threads where you got your pics from yesterday looking to replace mine but just doing some research as I've just bought some Meermin Chukka's (thanks Jason)! Speaking of which I've been wearing Vans for ages and putting up with whatever 'bogan' connotations come with it :p
    EDIT:
    Good to see Fxh going the full pensioner/foo/goodtaste approved :p
